Hi all. The AFL web site lists the NAB Cup Coll/Rich/Carl game as on a 5hr delay, but I checked the channel 10 website and it is in fact live into Sydney on One HD (I even called to check).

So in case you thought you had to do something boring like go out with friends, you can now watch the game live!:)

Good news for the exposure of the competition and our club in general into NSW!

I think us Northerners will find significant improvement re footy on TV this year. Last season tv stations were prevented by law in showing AFL games live on the extra digital channels (like ONE). The government passed new legislation on the last day of Parliament last year that now allows AFL to be shown on these channels in nonAFL States. In short: there is now absolutely no reason we won't get more live footy in 2011 and beyond...

for some reason between the end of the last footy season & now, one hd has been taken off my foxtel package. it used to be in the sports programmes but now its only in the hd cahnnels which i don't get.

If you're on a satellite dish you won't get it, but you should if you're on cable. If you're on cable call them up about it.

i am on cable & get everything except movies & HD channels.

unless its hiding somewhere new.

That's probably it then. I had HD with a cable connection before we moved into our new house a year ago and got the FTA HD channels.

Time for a set top box or a new TV my friend! This year there's an explosion of different programming on the new channels, whereas last year it was mostly the same as on the main channels. :)

yah exactly. going to buy a new telly soonish.

also worth noting, i was about to cancel my foxtel subscription which was $100/month and straight away the guy on the phone said we'll do it for $60/month for 6 months. i think i said yes too quickly as i wasn't expecting that. prolly could have got it cheaper or chucked in the movie package.

Thanks Optimist! Think I'll try that myself.:)

My foxtel subscription is $120 PM and I have all the channels with IQ2 I then pay an extra $10PM to get most Movie, Sports and Documentary channels in HD.

IMO the subscription is well worth it if you can afford the little extra to have Foxtel, but one thing I will say is that the off season can get kind of boring with having no Footy to watch, but other then that it's great value for money.
