You honestly believe he'll play AFL in 2025?After tanking last season on purpose so we could draft him for nothing, Tyler Welsh

I think Dan Curtin is very much in that discussion as the 3rd tall. With Taylor Walker likely to retire at the end of the year and our current replacements being Welsh, Burgess and Toby Murray I think it's almost essential he plays a handful of matches
With you on Berry.I'm actually not that bullish on Berry. Seems like a classic low ceiling type of player. Was able to come into the side almost immediately but just kind of stalled.
Pedlar and Schoenberg are both forgotten men that are more talented than Berry imo. More potential upside if they were able to get their shit together.
Of the recent recruits, Taylor seems an obvious choice. I think he should have had the blue guernsey on tbh.
Personally I don't see Welsh debuting this season unless we have a serious run of injuries with our forwards, would really need to light the Snaffle up big time to be considered.Aren't we going to play all four this season?
Was well on his way before his freak injury. That unfairly stalled him when he was just starting to really fire.Worrell - I think he could become a very very good defender for us this year. He has already been good, but I could see him raising the bar again
Why third tall. Curtin is taller than Tex. If Walker goes down he’d fit in pretty well as a like for like replacement as a second genuine kpf. I was going to say, except rucking, but then he did some rucking on Friday.I think Dan Curtin is very much in that discussion as the 3rd tall.
Fogarty and Thilthorpe might have a say in that. Why third tall. Curtin is taller than Tex. If Walker goes down he’d fit in pretty well as a like for like replacement as a second genuine kpf. I was going to say, except rucking, but then he did some rucking on Friday.
Yeah, I more hope he does than think he does.Cook
*he'd want to too.
Sure. I was assuming you had Walker as second tall. Curtin is shaping as decent cover for either Walker or Fog.Fogarty and Thilthorpe might have a say in that.
Same. I really rate Luke but just think he is too injury prone. His shoulders are really problematic, and he reminds me of porps with it.I was hoping Pedlar, but worried about him being injury prone... so I'm going to go Ryan.
I was similar on Berry at the beginning of last year but a couple of games I saw him play late last season he had some glimpses of another level. He was dynamic and powerful and caught my eye like "who was that?"I'm actually not that bullish on Berry. Seems like a classic low ceiling type of player. I did see him use his speed a few times last year and was surprised.I was similar on Berry at the beginning of last year but a couple of games I saw him play late last season he had some glimpses of another level. He was dynamic and powerful and caught my eye like "who was that?"
He's got a very quick first 10-15mI did see him use his speed a few times last year and was surprised.
Porps could actually kick a footy too. Unlike Pedlar who can’t hit the side of a barn door half the time. Really disappointing player. Had high hopes.Same. I really rate Luke but just think he is too injury prone. His shoulders are really problematic, and he reminds me of porps with it.
Only his second year in the system this year. Reckon he is more of the same this year, hard to break directly into this midfield in any meaningful way from his current position. Needs more time.Edwards
In the games where Tex chooses not to play (we've already been told longer flights are probably off the cards for him) surely we're just playing Curtin forward a bit more than usual on the assumption that Curtin is a mid/fwd combo role. We have a couple of big forwards already without having Welsh or Tex in the team. With Taylor Walker likely to retire at the end of the year and our current replacements being Welsh, Burgess and Toby Murray I think it's almost essential he plays a handful of matches
He's also spent time this pre-season training at half back and played half forward well for the Sandy Dragons before getting a go in the midfield when Ashcroft, Marshall etc were away at the Nationals. Really liked some of his SANFL footy late in the season, don't think it's out of the question he gets a taster or two in the AFL this season.Only his second year in the system this year. Would love to see him do well. He doesn't get talked about much and I was happy enough for the pressure not to be on him. Being touted as a big bodied mid is difficult at that age. Just need time to grow into a role. He's also spent time this pre-season training at half back and played half forward well for the Sandy Dragons before getting a go in the midfield when Ashcroft, Marshall etc were away at the Nationals.
