Nathan Bassett's future.

Heard this second hand (cause I was out on the turps) but apprently Bassett turned up to the B&F not wearing a club tie or club shirt. As this is a breach of the club rules does this raise any doubts over his future espicailly after the events late season. I bloody hope not cause while he does have his failings there are a few other listed Crows who could learn a thing about deperation from him.

If they flick Bassett it is a dark day.

Maybe he just wanted to save time in case he picked up? Ties are really awkward when you're hammered and on the go at 4am.

He's the best third-up defender we have - if he was deployed in a free-role a la Jason Cloke in the finals series he'd be a sensation.

Can't see the fact he didn't wear club gear to the club Champion award being a tradeable offence.

Can't see him going anywere.

He probably is on the available list. By my reckoning we only have Perrie and Bode up for grabs that will attract any attention...

Bassett clearly has an attitude problem.

Also add to that the Crows keep making noises how they will play the youngsters next year. That means Parker will have to play, along with some of Bock, Rutten and Hentschel. We already have McGregor, Hart, and now Smart confirmed as starters next year. Someone's got to make way for these guys, so Bassett is a prime candidate in my view.

I didn't know that he wasn't allowed 2 wear something different to the club champion. He was wearing some blue/grey tie, I think, and a white shirt when James Brayshaw was interviewing him.

Thats a bit out there. Last year Stenglein didn't wear "team unifrom" and he wasn't traded. If my memory serves me right he wasn't the only one out of uniform on the B&F night

In the photos I've seen, quite a few of them aren't in the club tie or shirt. Shirley doesn't have the tie, Carey doesn't have the shirt, Bratton has none of it.

I don't think it really means anything, especially considering the information bluecrow just gave us.

I still think that he may be departuring in the future, but definitely not because of this. It's too minor and common to be of any real worry.

As I said heard it second hand and the person I heard it from implied he was the only one but glad we got that one sorted cause I would be ****ed if Bassett went.

There was a couple of others who weren't wearing team gear - Michael Bratton was wearing a silver suit, and Wayne Carey wasn't wearing the same top as everyone else.

Don't think that it means anything though Bassett will still be around next year!

Nah Bass isn't going anywhere just because he wasn't wearing team uniform................he may be traded but it won't be because of that.
