Has anybody read it?

I picked it up today at Borders and had a quick flick through. Looks like it's written for a 10 y.o. I think it's written by his old man.

I was going to pick it up but it looks quite thin and they wanted $40 for it. I'll wait until it's cheaper but interested to hear if anyone has picked it up yet?

Yeah I've read it front to back. It is a really good book, it goes through brownys life and everything through his mothers eyes. It is a very easy read and wont take very long.

Still think BTs Diaries (1990) was the best football book ive read and i cant stand Collingwood.

Publishers told him he wasnt a big enough name to make it about himself so he gave an expose about a club pushing for a premiership along with a few interesting observations about his Richmond days. The bloke is not too worried about losing friends. But it gave an interesting look into a football club that I havent seen others achieve.

I read Ackermanis' but found it pretty dull.

Hehe I work at Borders and laughed when this book came in... It was written and self published by his mum (Hence the high cost).

Good read, but what let's it down is the amateur photograph scans inside the book... shitty scans of old newspaper cuttings etc, not good. Really cheapens it, shame really.
