I don't think that's necessarily true. You can carry Brown's lack of attacking quality but not when you've got Frost and Toovey in the same side. There has to be some kind of balance.

I agree with this completely. There is no doubt Brown is and honest and good quality stopper of his direct opponent, but he provides no rebound, which is a problem when Toovey and Frost also provide no rebound.
Happy to have 1 of the 3, 2 of the 3 maybe even, but with Toovey, Frost and Brown we are too much about stopping and not enough about rebound.

I think (and hope) going forward with a backline of;

FB:Tom Langdon, Nathan Brown, Marley Williams
HB: Brayden Maynard, Ben Reid, Matthew Scharenberg
Int: Jonathon Marsh and/or Ben Sinclair

Should be more than enough rebound and quality kicking to get us by. Frost and Toovey might have a hard time getting back in TBH.

Fantastic season and he has completed it injury free.

He is so valuable in terms of leadership down back also. IMO moving forward there's no room for both Frost and Brown as they play very similar roles and the fact that Brown has that leadership about him, he is our first choice FB.

If Reid shifts back down to CHB next season developing with Marsh our mix is far better.

Browny makes us so much better when he's in the team that its not even worth discussing. Tremendous defender for us.

Tooves used to give us good rebound. Hopefully this is just an off season.

I don't get the lack of love for Frost. I think he's showing great promise.

Brown's been good. He can play a rebounding game too - just seems to be focussing heavily on stopping, at the mo...
