we have to take him we need that half foward hit up player and any talk of premiership window closed is truely bulls**t, players hit their prime at around 25-29, and lenny hayes if u think hes almost done youd have to be kidding yourself that man will play till 34-35 he is an absolute gun, we have 2 ruckmen that are a little old but def not past it they are still able to produce for 1-2 years more and big ben mcenvoy coming in...

i think if we can snare nath brown he could be that little class we need to go the next step, a years a long time but i guess we have to wait.. AGAIN :(

cmon sainters ill still be with you for life FQF

You can have Nathan Brown for nothing. Why would you not take him? He'll either be better than milne or make Milne pull his finger out and get some consistency.

You don't need a player for 3 years time, you need a player for next year.

i would like lovett also but i think brown has 1-2 years left in him and would be an improvement to our team and would cost us nothing salary cap wise where as lovett could we fit him in?

Some tough decisions have to be made. We need to fit him in.

probably a better fit at the saint. richmond could barely bring the ball inside the 50 a enough times in the game for brown to be effective hence had some quiet games and didnt get that many goals. he is over his broken leg, no hot spots so at saints he should strive with more ball.

Couldn't agree more a class Half Forward is a No1 Priority. Hopefully Armo can develop into a regular midfielder next year. Very hard at and kicks goals. Lovett from Essendon for Pick 17 Pacy outside player breaking the lines is the go also. Should be there next year a little tweaking is all that is required

I like the way you think.

Take Judas at your peril. He is not after success only cash. You are better off playing Goddard or Gilbert as that medium forward to compliment your talls and smalls. Be wary of a player who went to Richmond to play finals.

Brown would be a good addition to your side. If I was a Saints fan I dont think I could ever forgive Schneider and Milne after that.

I'm actually agreeing with this, as we also still have Lynch and Heyne in reserve who could be pressing for selection next year where we could use an Armo, Geary or Steven in a midfield rotation and stick a Goddard, Lynch, Heyne on the HFF as a forward.

Lovett would be a great fit at the Saints... i agree that it might be a squeeze fitting him in your salary cap though. Might make room if you trade Milne or even Kosi???

Lovett to StK
Armitage and second rounder to Ess

Browny is actually a very smart footballer who uses the ball very well on most occassions. He played a few nice games this year. I believe he may be invigorated at a new club away from the troubles at Richmond.

browny has good football in him if he can get his groin right. thats what held him back this year not commitment or age

Why not get Brown, will be cheap as a dick. But, jack steven is another replacement for Milne, get him playing every pre-season praccy match at half-fwd, seen him play for sandy, ready to do what Milne couldn't.

Also could play as a midfielder:thumbsu:

another thing with brown hes def not after money he just wants some success as he said on the footy show he would play for peanuts

No not really... Watson and Prismall are the only 'elite' ones.... Welsh, McVeigh, Hocking and co are ok but are better taggers and defenders.

Armitage would bring a lot to Essendon.

Why? How do you see Armo? Do yu think tht its a like for like replacement for Lovett?

PS. I badly want Armo to play his career with us.

Disagree. I love browny but he was gone after the broken leg and this year he needed to show more than he delivered

The club will not look at him.

Reckon the saints would be making a mistake if they went after Brown lost his pace and when you lose your pace at that level your gone.

Yeah perhaps would of finished better with the same chances as others yesterday but he would not be able to get into those positions in the first place.

The only people talking Brown up are himself and his mates on tv. If you go back and look at some of his games this year ordinary at best would be the best description.
Yeah had injuries but his best is well behind him.
