I loved this letter to the Editor in Friday's Advertiser:

Ah, the responsibility of being an AFL player. My eight-year-old grand-daughter, while attending the Crows/Collingwood game with her other grandfather, became visibly distraught by the five-point loss of her beloved Crows.

Noticing the little girl's distress, a nearby supporter was heard to call to the departing Crows players: "See what you've done now. You've made this little girl cry."

N.S. Bennett, Ceduna

I tell you what.... if the Crows let the Bulldogs game slip on Sunday, I'll be the one crying. :p

No reason or excuse why we wont win the next five games all against struggling bottom eight sides by the time round 13 has concluded we will be 9-4:D

Vs Bulldogs: Injury depleted, cash depleted and just not competive enough Crows by 45 points.

Vs Geelong: We play pretty well at Skilled Stadium and should have a few more player back from injury,Geelong are struggling and I cant understand why as they dont have alot of injuries Crows by18 points

Vs Hawthorn: The 'pretty boy' side of the AFL spend more time worrying about how they look than playing footy, our only game at the MCG during the regular season so playing well and winning is important for when the finals come around Crows by 35 points

Vs Melbourne: Up season Down Season and this year they are on a real downer, being at AAMI you cant go past the Pride Of South Australia Crows by 30 points

Vs Carlton: Still struggling adapting to Dennis Pagan's 'new' game plan and really are not that competitive we had a good win against them at Optus Oval last season and see it being no different this time round Crows by 40 points

Our next 'real'challange will come in Round 14 against Richmond at AAMI but this realistically is also a winable game but the Tigers are playing well at the moment.

Errr... 2 wins from 9 matches and we play "pretty well" there?

I might be wrong but haven't we won last year for the first time at Skilled Stadium of was it for the first time in MANY years??????

We beat them there in 98 Stiffy. I was there and it was SWEET! We got close in 2000 as well (6 points or thereabouts from memory).

Ok smart arse's our recent games at Skilled Stadium have been better performances 2-1 out of the last three games there. We won in 1998 and Modra booted six if I remember correctly and we won a close one there last year.I am just trying to boost everyones confiedence here and all Dave W and Stiffy worry about if facts and figure's:rolleyes: Be positive for christ sakes;)

I loved the 1998 victory for the sole fact that Peter Caven bumped Oysters Kilpatrick just inside the boundary-line (100% fair) and he ended up in the concrete dugout.

The GFC fans instead of thinking, 'gee we might want to upgrade player safety at this dump so we end the risk of a footballer getting severely injured or worse' took it all out on Cavo like he put him in the dugout deliberately.

Anyone remember that sniper Buddha Hocking and his magnificent mullet? Meeeeeow.
