I got into a massive fight with a guy at EB games the other day re this game. I asked him if he had an info on it, to which he replied, 'Yeah, it's shit.' I got my defense on and said mate the 2k series is by far the best basketball series available, and 2k9 was the best basketball game ever made. So I asked him if he was a Live man, which he said he was, then he said that 2k is going bankrupt because they only sold 100,000 copies of 2k9 which I scoffed at, and then he said Live sold... wait for it... 210,000,000 copies. I told him he was speaking from his arse, and he obviously knows nothing about basketball or not being a fat **** so I left.

Did some research and surprise surprise, 2k9 actually outsold Live, selling 400k copies on XBox in one month alone. Nice one douche.

It's been announced for October 6 in the US, which means nobody will get it before October 6 let alone Australia.

2k9 is/was out on pc - most places would be saying out of stock now.

Most TakeTwo/2K Sports games have a limited shelf life, once they sell out of the initial stock, you probably won't see it back in the store as they tend not to get more new copies in... unless it's been traded back in by someone and thus gets sold as pre-ordered stock.

The menu nav has a bug or 5 but nothing that really annoys me. And the gameplay itself is quite good.

The full Top 20 in sales for October has been released by NPD. NBA 2K9 placed at #9 with the 360 version selling 202,000 copies while the PS3 version came in at #17. Not even the 360 version of NBA Live 09 was able to reach the Top 20.

I've just started downloading Mega Roster Update 09 v.4.0.

I got it and loaded it. Is an awesome update to the game. The commentators even say the picks name such as "Griffin" rather than "number [x]."

Would be tough to get the rookies faces in on PS3 because you have to actually modify the .exe base of the game to do it on PC.

Doesn't the 2K9 have a live update roster version? Or is that more shitter that it sounds?
