I'm sure there are a few others out there who enjoy a punt.

So far I've laid out 5 bets and won 3 of them.

Code:
[B]Chicago Bulls[/B] Win
NBA Chicago Bulls @ Miami Heat - Full Game - Point Spread (+6.0) @ 1.935
Code:
[B]1 BET(S) ON 3 SELECTIONS [/B] Loss
	[B]Over (190.5) @ 1.935 [/B]
NBA Wizards @ Cavaliers - Full Game - Game Total W

[B]	Atlanta Hawks - Point Spread (+7.0) [/B]
NBA Atlanta Hawks @ Philadelphia 76ers - Full Game - @ 1.935 L

[B]	Milwaukee Bucks - Point Spread (+7.0)[/B]
NBA Milwaukee Bucks @ Detroit Pistons - Full Game @ 1.935 W

Code:
[B]Over[/B] Win
NBA Wizards @ Cavaliers - Full Game - Game Total (190.5) @ 1.935	W

Code:
[B]Washington Wizards[/B] Loss
NBA Washington Wizards @ Cleveland Cavaliers - Full Game

Code:
[B]Over[/B] Win
NBA Chicago Bulls @ Orlando Magic - Full Game - Game Total (183.0) @ 1.935
If you ever see a Magic game under 190 bet on the over, they score a hell of a lot of points every game and shoot over .500 a lot!

With todays game I'm going for

Over
NBA San Antonio Spurs @ Dallas Mavericks - Full Game 5.00 Game Total (182.0) @ 1.935

The game is being played in Dallas and these teams usually score 200 between them. In last seasons playoffs they reached 200 in 4/7 games and failed to reach 182 in 2/7.

Both teams average over 91 ppg (in fact both average over 95) in the regular season so should really have no problems reaching the target. I cant see this being under 182 even though both teams had a poor pre season and am really surprised to see that line.

Today I've got a multi:

Sam Cassell to score the most points (out of Miller, Mobley, Cassell, K-Mart, Kaman) and...

Jason Terry to make more 3s than Manu

at $8.19

Heaps of places :

www.centrebet.com
www.sportingbet.com.au
www.globalsportsbet.com.au
www.vicbet.com
www.sportsacumen.com
www.sportsbetting.com.au
www.normshort.com.au (does theTV games only)
www.michaeleskander.com.au

Betfair also do them but I've found that the liquidity is too poor most of the time except for just before the game.

The best US markets are at www.pinnaclesports.com
They provide the best and most accurate guide as to what is going on.

A little trick is to check out the Pinnacle site early in the morning (7am), take a note of their markets (they bet to an incredibly tight percentage so take that into account), and then bet with the Aussie bookies. A lot of them just leave up their odds from the night before and you can catch them napping.

The other day Chicago (v Miami) were +6.5 at 11pm and when I woke up in the morning the line had moved to +5.0. Yet more than half the bookies here in Oz still had +6.5.
Back them at the +6.5 and then back Miami just prior to the match at -5.0 and you have some magic numbers running for you.:D

I do my bets at www.canbet.com The bettings types arent great but I find the lines there are generally lower(easier) than at other sites. For example that over 182 I bet on today was over 185 at a lot of other sites. That was a lock bet for me.

Daytripper I hope you are joking with the +6.5 - 5 thing. :)

Charlotte are tempting to me at $3.02 against Memphis.

I'll be getting on that most likely or at least the line. Memphis are going to be horrible for at least a month.

Not joking - it actually happened.

*****ed off really as I liked the Bulls and only ended up winning something small.
However one day you will hit the jackpot.

It'll never be profitable though. It'd have to work 6/10 times for it to become profitable.

I rspect you Borgsta but you might want to do the maths again.

Sorry, for some unknown reason I counted the money you win as the money you get back, missed the return of the bet!!!

Lines are usually paying about 1.90. So a $10 bet would net you $9 profit. If you bet $10 on both lines you are betting $20 and when 1 wins you get back $19. However when you win you get back $38 so you'd need to win both 1 in 37 times to be profitable.

My Original (read stupid/tired) thought process was bet $20 recieve $9 back when 1 wins. Really dont know how I came up with those numbers.

Now when the bloody hell is Canbet/IASbet going to come back online??? I want my Charlotte money as www.sportingbet.com.au are somehow not betting on that game.

Edit: Scrap that, last night it wasnt available but this morning it is.

Anyhow my bets for the day are.

Code:
Philadelphia @ Orlando
	4: (Total Game Score) [B]Over	[/B]
Bet Type:	Multi - Total Game Score-Win
Points:	192
Price To Win:	1.91

Win / Loss:
	04 Nov 2006 08:42 AM - Utah @ Phoenix
	2: (Straight) Phoenix @ 1.37

and
Code:
04 Nov 2006 08:33 AM - Charlotte @ Memphis
1: (Straight) Charlotte @ 2.50

Orlando/Philli should be a very high scoring game with last seasons post Francis trade games going for 192 and 199. I was going to go just for the Magic win but perhaps got a little greedy. Added the Phoenix to win on there although I have a strange feeling the Jazz might come away with it.

Charlotte game was insurance. oh and thanks hardaway.

BTW sportinbet's lines are ridiculous. They have 2 lines for each game. For example Orlando/Philli has

Philli +5.5 @ 1.91 and +4 @ 2.00
Magic -5.5 @ 1.91 and -7 @ 2.00

Damn you Charlotte you chokers. Up by 9 at 3qr time, currently a 36 to 12 final quarter in favour of Memphis.

Good one ********!

New Orleans -2.0 @ 1.91 &
Seattle -1.5 @1.91

Both lines are the $1.85 equivalent in the US so if you can still get the $1.91 its over the odds.

I've gone for a bit of a risky double today

Golden State +9.5 and Utah -5

Detroit will get burned by Utah's big men and although I think the Mavs will win today I dont think it'll be by 10 points.

Tempted to get on Minnesota for the win @ $2.70 with Miller probably missing and Bibby still hurt the Kings are there for the taking.

Not touching the Magic game after our last performance.

1 down, 1 to go. Utah need to lose the last quarter by less than 4 points.

Edit: The idiots lost the last qtr by 8 points. I'll blame the refs for that one, with Detroit shooting about 15 FT's in the last qtr.

Looking at a few tomorrow, namely:

Buck v Wizards - under 210- @ 1.91
Denver for the win over Philly @ 2.28
Atlanta -4.5 @ 1.96

May just put a little treble on those 3... what do you think of the Bucks chances of keeping Washington's score low with a slow-down half court game?

210 is a monster score but any team with Arenas is a chance to reach it, esp when up against a team with Redd in it. Having said that the Bucks have been getting slaughtered away from home so I think they might struggle to reach the 100 mark.

I've decided to not touch any Denver games. If a main player isn't getting ejected they are getting injured.

Atlanta is an interesting one. 2 young teams on the rise meeting in Toronto. The Hawks have improved a lot but I think the Raps will pip them 2moro.

Tomorrow's games

Hornets +6.5 @ $1.91 (cheering against the Clippers but sometimes you have to put loyalty aside).
Nets +5.0 @ $1.91
Kings -7.0 @ $1.91
Mavs -5.5 @ $1.91

All four are better odds in Oz than in the US so just taking the value.
