nba live or inside drive?

I was thinking of getting the updated version of nba live 2005 when it comes out, but NBA Inside Drive looks pretty good.

Anyone played inside drive and thinks it better than the live series? I know that drive is microsoft and live is EA so will that make any huge diff?

I've already had someone tell me they'd rather stick to the live series.

Any recommendations if Drive is better? Or will the live series alway's reign supreme?

ESPN NBA 2k4 is the best available basketball game for xbox. Second is NBA Inside Drive 2004, it doesn't have the graphics and presentation but has good game physics. NBA Live 2004 is an improvement on previous years, but still very much an arcade basketball game.

NBA Live 2005 is still a ways off, probably around October/November. Same with ESPN NBA 2k5.

Microsoft have announced they will not be releasing sports games for 2005 because of the poor reception they recieved with NFL Fever 2004, NBA Inside Drive 2004 and NHL Rivals 2004. Fever and Rivals are sh !thouse games. Inside Drive was a pretty good effort gameplay wise, but doesn't have the polish of ESPN.

I'll get my hands on a copy sometime. Having said that, i find NBA Live to be quite an enjoyable way to eat my time. I'll definitely be buying the 2005 installment.
