But weren’t they tipped to be contenders you said? So, what you are saying is that if you take the best player off a team that you expect to be a 7-10 seed, they are probably going to suck.
Well, I guess you are probably right.
Oh he is still a top 10 player in the league, just not in that MVP conversation right now. I dont think Warriors team wins a title without Curry being that MVP calibre playerYou may have gone a bit early on Steph.

Its a issue with GSW lineup a little bit ultimately moreso then Steph himself. They are too reliant on a 37 year old.Once again, if your expectations for Curry are that high as a 37 year old, they are too high. The fact that he's possibly Top 10 player at 6 foot and 37 years old are insane.
Damage is done. He will get half of what he was offered because what Rockets offered was insane. How he was going to end up with more money then Josh Giddey is beyond meEason out 6 weeks. Whoever told him as an injury prone player to not take an extension should be removed from his life.

That James Wiseman pick will haunt them for a long long long time im afraid
It always matters. Resting on your laurels is no way to beThey won a Championship 2 years after the pick. I don't think it matters.
I highly doubt they are going to be able to trade in to a top 3 pick, but yes they are going to dominate until all those contracts kick in. In which case they will fall back to just being incredibly good instead of unstoppableOKC is 13-1.... without Jalen....and have 3 first rounders this year which they can surely bundle to a top 3 pick....
Yay

In its way we are kind of discussing the problem now. GSW planned to rely on 37 year old Steph Curry by not taking Lamelo who was the clear number 2 IMHO that GSW ignored because Steph was still around. They should have planned for the future a bit more then they did. They took Wiseman for the sugar hit of needing a C and it bombed
Damn U Kings. Pick the boy I wanted....
Lol Pelicans

And sorry SOS, while I was in the thread...
Indy were up against it without Hali but they’ve been injury riddled but coming from playing off for rings to wondering when your next win is coming is a massive fall from grace. Perhaps it might have been karma for Hali and the choke symbol taunt you could say.
It just seems like everything since he did the choke symbol has blown up in their face since.C'mon man, not sure doing an Achilles constitutes 'karma' for referencing a 30 year old playoff classic. It's actually sad what's happening to Indy at the moment.

Outside of my own team they were my favorite to watch last year they were quick and exciting.
The season is way to long for sure and way to many back to back games.I think it's depressing. Indy's rivalries with the Knicks and Bucks were one of the few interesting things about the Eastern conference in recent years. Theatrical gestures are not really to my taste, but God knows the NBA could do with some real rivalries at the moment.
I think the bigger story is the number of total injuries in the league. The league's worried about load management and gambling perceptions, but they should be worried about the sheer volume of players missing significant time.
Lakers statement win against the Bucks
Bronny James started.
Oh I wanted to panic and trade everyone because I didnt think they had the courage to go deep into the luxury tax. It looks like they do.... which is niceNot so much Wiseman himself, but more whether they got enough value from Wiseman/Kuminga/Moody as three lottery picks in two years.
Still think they're a tough playoff out fully healthy, but OKC and Denver look a cut above the chasing pack. And the Dubs are on the clock more than most, for obvious reasons. Then again with 4 banners in the books, who cares.
You wanted them to panic and trade everyone a couple of months back!
Don't think people realise how many injuries they've had this season too - they have two first round picks from the last two years who haven't played a minute between them, and won't for a while. If they had a full slate of health, they'd bat 14 or 15 deep, just scary depth.
They'll probably try to trade up, but more likely trade more picks into the future. They're well set up to be a 50+ win team for another 8-10 years. The kind of thing the Pels could've attempted in 2019, if we had a brain.
It's OK, we aced the 2021 draft, which led us to where we are today, which is... firing our coach. Yep.
