he's now 31... so i think that 51" vertical may have decreased..

No. Apparently that's now. The globetrotters were going to sign him up because his leap was a little out of the ordinary.

Spud has got to have the biggest vertical leap ever. To be able to dunk at 5'7 is unreal. I've read that he was able to dunk at 4'11 - talk about leap.

Also special mentions should be given to Dominique Wilkins and Clyde Drexler. Both guys had awesome leap, if the ring was as high as the top of the square aiming box - they still would be able to dunk.
