He is not worth a second round pick. Im sure any recruiter will tell youi that in fact im pretty confident that if we did not take him father son that he'd be around at our last pick.

He's a one trick pony who lacks intensity. You can get away with it in the junior ranks but you will be found out in the senior level. I've seen him play 6 times this year, three of those were against the best of his peers at the championships and he was like a fish out of water. If you can tell me after those efforts recruiters have him rated in the best two rounds of the draft then i want a kilo of the ******** you're taking.

In defence of the kid he hasnt played a lot of footy at any sort of elite level before this year.

I realise that and i said as much in an earlier post.

I'm not expecting him to dominate and a lot of times you can't. But there is no reason why you cant at least show the desire to dominate and be the best you can be. Attitude on the footy field counts for a lot, recruiters love kids with intensity.

What we are dealing with here is one spot in the draft and one spot on the list.

Over the summer, we will be making many changes. 6-7 (maybe 8) players will either be delisted, retired, or traded. Lovett and Lovett-Murray are seemingly guaranteed senior list places.

Can anyone here reasonably see any risk at all at taking Neagle now - it's only one place on the list.

I guess people think we can get him for less than a 3rd round pick. 4th or even rookie, so why waste a F/S 3rd round pick on him ?

I've only seen him play once - one of the championship games - and he couldn't get near it. Does kick a lot in the TAC though.

Can't rookie bottom age players.

give the boy a go, he still has next year to play in the tac cup. however i do think essendon will be looking at jake foulds next year for the f/s spot too.
