He had a very good game last night. 24 disposals, 14 contested, 71 disp. efficiency, 344 metres gained. That is a very handy midfielders game.
The only knock on his game was his composure inside F50, but that will come...
He still has a bit of baby giraffe about him but as you said, that will sort itself out. It was a very impressive performance

Ned has shown improvement and didn’t let himself down at all last night, the only thing I would like to see is a similar output in a more competitive game. He has time and will improve, to what level is the key. We need guys pushing their way into our best 22 and Ned is doing that.
He was so on JHF for the large bulk of the game though so even though the scoreboard was heavily in our favour, he still had plenty of quality one on one competition.

Made JHF look tiny and small. Ned has some serious size

Against Carlton if he keeps Cripps down we'll win easily

Yep there’s that one man child that always stays that size as everyone grows at a normal rate. The ruckman in the junior colts that somehow is only a forward pocket in the senior colts
That was my role in high school.I started drinking when I was 14. Never asked for ID once. I was a forward pocket resting ruck but I was so bad I didn't go back after under 16s.

I took it seriously, steered big blokes away from the spirits, talked people into drinking cider rather than something they'd instantly vomit.

His awkwardness reminds me of Dane swan at times

Ned long his a little rough around the edges and will always be a whipping boy

Big lad

I'm on the fence with him at this stage

I liked his VFL form prior to us drafting him

He played well but geez he is a liability when he has to hurry under pressure.

If he can clean up this area of his game he could carve out a nice career.

A step or two quicker of foot and mind would also be handy

This was where I was at with it. The follow up question was whether it’s a sustainable performance against quality opposition? Saturday night was a fill your boots night with the bulk of the squad getting nourishment.

Like Wills I know he’s a big body that will crash in and give his all, but can he bring the standard of Saturday night across a 6 week block? He’ll hold his spot I assume, but like so many of these fringe types this week is a crossroads match where you need to frank the form.

has a role at nullifying the oppositions best big bodied mid, ie Cripps, Bont, Horne-Francis and Oliver
aside from that, dont think he makes our side when all available. still needs to clean up his kicking
