I've finally had enough trying to work this out, so I need someone to explain the logic:
I drive around most of Melbourne looking at real estate for a crust, so I cover enough k's to see enough roadage.
On the roads, there are obviously lines with regular white/silver cat eyes, to (hopefully) keep you on the right side of the friggen road. They are predictable in their lay out.
However, there are blue cat eyes interspersed throughout the 'burbs and I cannot for the life of me work out what specific purpose they serve. It's ****en random! They aren't always near intersections; they aren't always near the middle of the street; there are sometimes one on the street, or a few in succession, and then no more! Do they allign up with fire hydrants, or some other weird service?
I hope there's a simple explanation that I am unaware of having learnt how drive in SA. I do enjoy running over them for sport, but I really need to know what the **** their purpose is. Please help!
