I have a friend who met a girl online (him in melbourne, her in QLD), and now she virtually lives here with him. It worked out pretty good for them.

My best mate met a "chick" on the Internet.

Anyway, she told him she was from the US, moved when she was about 11, she was now 17. I even spoke to her on the phone before he started going out with her, and she sounded like a Yank. So, he met up with her one day and all and they eventually started going out.

After a few months, she moved into his house, and by now the US accent had gone [First sign of her bull**** story].

So, things were going alright then she told us that she got a ENTER of 98.7, or something like that [Second sign of bull**** story], because she was a dumbarse.

Then his mother told me that she told them that she was also a Qualified Chef, at 17 years of age mind you [Third sign of bull**** story].

Next, my best mate tells me, what we had thought was her name, really wasn't her name at all. He told me that she had told him that she couldn't use her real name because an ex-boyfriend was after her, and that Witness Protection made her change her name and all this sort of crap. [Fourth sign of bull**** story].

Then, when the World Trade Centre was attacked, she told us she was really sad because he Dad took her there once when she was 10. [Sixth sign of bull**** story].

Also, she started wearing obviously fake dog tags (the necklace type thing that people in the army wear), because she told us that her brother had been killed fighting in Afghanistan, and that was before anybody had been killed. [Seventh sign of bull**** story].

Anyway, to cut the story short, we had a bit of an argument about her (didn't talk for over six months), but eventually, he came around and realised she was just full of ****, and he isn't with her anymore. Although, she still calls every now and then with more bull**** stories.

Oh BTW, she called me up about a month ago and asked me who I was because my number was in her phone but she didn't know who it was. What utter crap, she knew damn well who it was.

Anyway, moral of the story, be VERY careful.

Well the best thing I got out of reading your post pazza is that you're not going to the Volt to meet your women...

As someone of a similar age who grew up where you're living there aren't too many birds in their late 20's who aren't married, pregnant or pigdog fat & ugly. So it's good to see you're branching beyond the City of Wyndham...

Just bite the bullet mate, do Hoppers proud.

And if she's a pogger of a person, then take her to the Tudor, leave her there and catch a cab home. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I was in a chat room and met this really nice girl. We used to chat for ages. After a few weeks she asked me for a photo which I sent. Then she wanted to know how old I was. After a bit more time she asked me if I had any photo's where I was in my jocks.

Then all of a sudden she stopped talking to me. About 2 months went by and then the police visited my unit's carer and told her that this girl I was talking to was really a man and that the police had arrested him because he liked to do bad thing with kiddies involved.

So my advice is be careful. I don't really use chat rooms anymore.
