There are some strong indications on another board about Neil Craig coming on board.

I would have posted this in the official off season thread, but that is locked, We must still be playing.

I reckon he would be a great pick up for the club, has connections with eastern european cyclists and weight lifters.

The crows have been a physically big side...

Welcome Neil.

sure will, btw bring back your old avatar our eyes need some relief....:D
Yankees supporter?
It's all about the new age mod with the kids interest at heart. Salma's cans might make a comeback one day.
Craig would be a huge signing. Knows his business inside out that bloke.

Caro said it was a done deal........should i bring her back in my avatar?

Love her or loathe her, Cawwo, is normally pretty close to the money on all things Tigers. On this one i hope she is correct as well.
And Tugg - bring back Salma's jugs. The masses have spoken.

Anyone have a sauce on this?
I only have inside info. Been offered a 3 year deal and he is favouring that over every other offer has been given.
I have a lot of respect for Craig. Would be a great person to have at the club.

Okay, I take your info more seriously than most so it sounds quite good.

What do you think Tugs, would be his number 1 priority at Richmond?

Improve the fitness of the playing list, or brainstorming with the coaching staff over gameplans, ect.

Because it sounds like we are keen to utilise his background in sport therapy sciences rather than his skills as a coach, do you think that's a fair assessment?

Very fair assessment. The guy specialises in sports science and thrives on that sort of thing. Would be a major asset to the club.
I don't see him being a coach on game day or anything, but you never know. We could be innovators in that field.
I reckon he could be the best recruit we get this off season even over a ruckman.

Tend to agree here, infact - gives me chills thinking about this guy working closely with Cotch & Martin and building up their fitness, because their speed & endurance is all that's keeping these two from becoming truly elite. (or atleast that's what I think haha)

It would be good to sign up a few guys and give them different jobs, so not-too-many-people-are-doing-too-many-things. Have you heard anything on Dean Bailey? I think he fits the criteria of what we are looking for in an individual, full of integrity and another quality individual.

Haven't heard anything about Bailey.
I doubt he would be on the payroll next year.
Am very confident Benny and Gary know what they are doing.

I think the role would be perfect for him some people may not know but he actualy used to be a fitness adviser I think the one thing our coaching panel lacks is that experienced coach. Would absolutey love to sign him.

No Cricket for Craig

NEIL Craig has ruled out being part of Cricket Australia's new structure as a high-performance manager.

The former Crows coach - who worked in cycling in the late 1990s between football duties at the Adelaide Football Club - is destined to stay in football.

First courted by Brisbane to be a senior mentor to Brisbane coach Michael Voss, Craig is now favoured to be part of Richmond's football department next season.
