i think that the bloke who is in the nescafe advert on tv who fixes the kids broken basketball hoop is in fact guilty of the crime itself, rather than a kind hearted samaritan. when he first notices the broken hoop downstairs as he has his morning coffee his expression indicates an 'oh **** thats right i remember getting home now' guilt. my theory is he came home full of p1ss, trashed the hoop in a drunken rage before passing out. hes woken up with a blank memory only refreshed by the sight of the destroyed apparatus, and endeavours to repair the damage to ease the suffering of his own post inebriated anxiety. he is therefore not the sensitive hero he is made out to be. converesly he is a drunken womanising vandal driven mad by his hatred of himself and his inability to control his own life.
well thats my theory anyway.

Why didn't that guy knock down the ring and put up some goal posts? Teach those kids what real sport is all about ;)
