If that means never getting married so be it.

What do you think they settle them on?

Man with house marries woman. Woman divorces man. Woman claims house of 50% thereof.

Maybe 'emotion' wouldn't be the correct term to describe the above, but 'logical' and 'fair' don't apply.
You might have misunderstood my post (which is understandable, on reflection I can see that it may have seemed ambiguous).

The courts are clearly geared towards women. It is blatant.

If a man gets married on emotion, that's great, but when push comes to shove, the courts don't care who loved who.

The courts care who is the woman, and who is the man.

Marriage is such a joke. I've had a root so I'm not an incel who sees it as some feminist trap, but at the same time it's such a gargantum waste of money and such a parade of ego. Also it's embarrassing. Standing up there in a suit and trying not to get too pissed?

Ride out life with em and let a child, house lock you into something serious.

And spend the 50k on going on a sick holiday and trying to get into the housing holiday.

Then again I am the smartest, most astute, coolest campaigner ever. And know everything at 25.

Spending so much that you put pressure on yourself financially is a bit stupid. Got to be some sort of balance. Totally agree you should leave a chunk for a great holiday/honeymoon.

It’s about creating an experience I guess. You’ll always remember your wedding. If you’re on your deathbed you’ll remember things like that, not thinking “I wish I put an extra $20k on my mortgage”.

We found a place that suited us, one of the requirements for us was keeping the price per person reasonable.

If you go to the popular large places that everyone wants to go to because everyone else went there you will pay what everyone else did as well

you still can end up all alone married or not.
thats true
married...at least you can take a break from them and feel single, alone, then return.
but unmarried...you cant go off and find a temp family before returning to your alonenness.

Very true. And sorry for quoting you, I noticed later you had been quoted a few times.
