Looks like the yellow G string is here to stay
If the club are unable to wear the VFL strip for some reason id like it to be officially known so we can bitch about it and move on. Richmond's colours are Yellow and Black. Not Yellow, Black and White or Silver or Orange or Red or Blue or whatever other silly clash jumper people come up with.

We are able to wear it (unless they make us get white)

I think you have to wait 2 years to change your clash

Havent we had the G-Banger for 2 years already??? And if it wasnt deemed a good enough clash V Port or West Coast SURELY the AFL would approve a change to a more appropriate clash earlier if it was offered up

This year was the first

I think we have home games vs Port and WC in 2015 and now we can't be arsed changing it

This is silly if true. Sooner or later we will play both at home, and we will have to change it because there is no way in hell they will agree to play in their away kit again. May as well pull the band aid off, rather than be forced to wear some poxy white design the AFL will force upon us

1 or 3 with 1 being the preferred.

On a related but slightly separate note. The back of our normal jumpers....

I wouldnt rub the dirt off the bottom of my shoes with this stupid idea of a jersey. Absolutely pathetic
Not a fan of the stripe on the back when we have white numbers + a logo. Doesn't look good.

Any chance we could do away with the stripe, and change the numbers to yellow instead? (sorry for the 2 second graphic)

Looks much better and more menacing imo.
Wouldnt wipe y tears with I

I don't understand why clubs are so funny about the clash strips. I know people don't want to change the traditional home strips and fair enough, but no one really has strong feelings towards the clash strip(s).

To me it would make sense to update the clash strip every year or 2 like how they do in the soccer. It would make it interesting, it would bring money into the club, and people would love collecting all the different variations of the jumper.

To me it would be great if this year our away/clash jumper was the 'bumblebee' design, next year could be the white jumper with the sash, etc etc. It would also be something we awaited each year to be announced, and would be a great discussion point in this bland stage of the off-season.

i honestly dont get it either. it will add money to the club because everyone will want to buy a clash strip, and if they change it every couple years, they WILL be bought in bulk.
secondly, its not like the afl is saying "you cannot wear yellow and black, you have to wear pink or blue" it just means to have more yellow than black, or choose another colour.
thirdly, i wonder if all the clubs would be so anti clash jumpers if Planet Eddie didnt get his way with the afl and were forced to wear a predominantly white strip, and not get away with the white with black stripes bollocks.
yes i understand heritage and history and all that jazz, but this day and age its all about money, and the more ways the club can make it, then go for it i say. yes there would be some backlash from supporters, but like the logo, which gets changed every 10 or so years, the supporters will get used to a clash strip.
just becasue collingscum get away with it, doesnt mean we stomp our feet like petulant children and say, "they dont have to, why do we"
the clash strip at the moment is just pus richmonds trying to get away with as little change and imagination as possible. if they did it correctly, and embraced the opportunity they have with a proper clash strip, then we could have a REALLY REALLY good clash strip that all teh other clubs would be looking at and saying - wow!

Don't agree, but they just signed 3 more teams in one off-season so you'll see a lot more of them around.
Stig, perhaps I'm being a bit harsh, or picky.
You can decide.
The yellow on our sash needs to be more vibrant and the black needs to be more 'black'.
Also, the fit of the playing jumper is average.
The tracksuits and stuff are pretty cool, I rate them.
Also, I hate that the templates of the polo's will be the same as other minnow clubs such as GWS, GC, Adelaide, Brisbane and the Bulldogs.
Same design, different colours.
I'd prefer us to have something unique.

Anyway, as long as we win, my grandmother can knit our apparel for all I care.
