Today's win has provided Fremantle with a new record score of 25.17 - 167, eclipsing the previous record of 25.13 - 163 set in 1995 v Sydney.

Yep ... good to see a record tumble today.... but so many negatives to take out of it. The Freo Footy Club has so much work to do before we are considered serious contenders. As I said good to get a record but the players themselves realised they couldve done so much better. The match as it was played out encouraged open play.

We also broke the record for our highest scoring quarter. We kicked 10.4 (64) in that third quarter eclipsing our previous highest scoring quarter of 9.4 (58) which was in the fourth quarter against Sydney in round 5, 1995.

The third quarter was awesome!

Completely dominated but a bit dissapointing to see us give the Roos 3 easy goals at the end of that quarter.

I'm confused as there was a standing ovation for the boys a 3/4 time at the game I was at. Did you miss that FH

Yeah I saw that I stood up for a standing ovation I will say atleast 60% of the crowd did it ( more in some sections that others !! )!! But what about 40% taking into acct there was a few Roo's supportters.

I mean like funky monk said ...perhaps they were all in shock ... or it didnt click till afterwards the enormity of what Freo acheived in that quarter. I did get up for the ovation but it wasnt till I sat down did I realise they did infact kick the 10 goals !!
