New Image for the VFL​

The logo of the VFL has been around the early 1970's and started appearing on jumpers in 1976. Clubs have changed their logo many times since then but the VFL logo has stayed the same. It went into hiding from 1990 until a yellow version became the logo of the VFA. The VFA became the VFL and the logo was back.

It is time to change the VFL logo. A logo which is made for the competition, not a logo that was made for the now AFL in the 1970's. Your task is to create a new competition logo for the VFL. The logo will appear on the jumpers of VFL teams and on advertising for the League.

Your submissions are needed by Saturday October 6th when a poll will start to decide the best new logo for the VFL. The winner of the poll will be the next person with their name on the Honour Roll.

It's a cross between the AFL and VFL logos with a southern cross chucked in

A slight modification of the current one, with a different vee and no football.

Oh that is beautiful craegus it's a touch of the old VFA and the new VFL, if i had my choice it would be to revert the VFL logo back to the VFA logo with a touch of refreshment.

Kudos to you Sir you deserve a knighthood for this Craegus.

The thing is ThunderPower it is not what the actual league should be tho, the VFL is now the AFL and should not be the VFL again. The VFL now was the VFA and it should be reverted to what it once was for historical reasons and just to be damn correct.
 
Afl victoria logo im
Guessing will be used if anything.

Tac cup changed from vfl logo to afl (victoria)logo. Like afl nsw or act it will end up being afl victoria imo. Once all these alignments starts from 2014. I would if anything expect a change in mabye 2014
 
This thread is a competition to design a new logo for the VFL, not a discussion thread to discuss if it should be the VFL or the VFA or if the competition should use the AFL Victoria logo.

The contest is to design a logo for the competition known as the VFL, which was formerly the VFA. We have two great entries so far but we are still looking for more. So keep the entries coming in.

Don't fix what isn't broken. It's simple, and as a result will never become outdated and is very iconic.

I love the current VFL logo, and it should never change. But it's a good idea for a comp :thumbsu:

Because it moved from a suburban association to a "state" league, by introducing two country teams, North Ballarat and Traralgon, in 1995.

I don't think it was known as the VFL in 1995.

Anyway I'm pretty sure the VFA had country teams involved from inception.
