Prediction New Naming Rights Sponsor - who will it be?

Anderson announced at the recent AGM that the club will soon announce a new major sponsor (Collingwood home base Naming Rights sponsor, finally replacing Holden).
”Watch this space” was his quote.
Who could it be?
Another Motor Vehicle Company?
Another Financial Institution or Bank?
An IT or Software Company?

My prediction - another Motor company GWM
They are already in the Australian market & plan to expand in 2022 by launching the GWM Tank 4WD’s.
These vehicle‘s will be targeting the Jeep Wrangler & Toyota LandCruiser section of the market.
To take on Jeep & Toyota, they require a huge marketing push (along with their lower pricing strategy).
They need to align themselves with traditional Australian brands, such as Collingwood.
They need high exposure on a sustained basis.
They also need to overcome the anti Chinese sentiment in Australia coupled with a reputation for low quality products (coming from China).
Anyway…that’s my prediction.

My guess is also a new car company.

A new car company would be able to get value by being associated with something that had previously carried the Holden brand.

Polestar maybe? (Volvo - Geely joint venture) They’re setting up in Australia, they have a bunch of cars here being test driven, they’re now taking orders, and expecting first commercial shipments in Feb. I took one for a test drive recently.

I recently had a chat about this subject with a friend who is an electric vehicle insider. Curiously, they had quite a strong opinion about it despite them living in Sydney and not following (nor having any interest in) AFL, or any sports for that matter …

… they said they thought it would very unlikely be a Chinese company would sponsor Collingwood: “The Chinese EV companies are very conservative, they have very conservative values, and they’d be turned off by Collingwood’s recent scandals.” That person was referring to Do Better report stuff.

Can’t see KFC, Emirates or Nike increasing their spend, but we can rule out others within their markets. LaTrobe financial may be a slight chance to increase, but again we can rule out others.

With other universities* being involved in AFL my guess is Monash, which would also strengthen the medical centre partnership.

* Tugs have Swinburne centre, York Park uTas, Geelong Deakin, dogs VU, blues LaTrobe, GWS western Sydney.
