I wish Adelaide United great success but I really don't think a bigger stadium is the way to go. What they need is financial security and managable growth. A shiny new stadium two or three time the size (and cost) of Hindmarsh will send them broke.

I think they are already close to broke ... aren't all the A-League clubs at this stage? They should do the Australian thing and spend, spend, spend and put everything on credit then realise ten years down the track that they can't afford to pay it off.

Adelaide United are doing quite well financially, some of the other clubs are also doing really well - like Melbourne, Central Coast - Queensland are doing okay. Sydney and Newcastle have some big investors, so turning a profit isn't such a big deal for them at the moment.

Adelaide are running really well financially, but not well enough to go and build a stadium any time soon. Although there is a lot of money in Asia, and I know that Adelaide are hoping they can secure some investment from some big Asian companies in order to build their stadium.
