New Warriors Skipper Needed

After 2 shocking defeats, I think that the Warriors need a new man at the helm, someone who can lead us back to light.

I don't know what's wrong. Maybe we just aren't getting the right balance in the team but that is pretty hard with just a squad of 13.

Hmm I was kind of expecting this but not from Mojo_. I am not sure what to really think. We do have alot of first year players, me included, so maybe that is the problem. But we do need more squad members.

It is a must in my opinion.

At the start of last year there was a buzz around Freo leading into the derby, now with the lack of interest being show by the Warriors the games are losing there appeal.

True but Jod is hardly ever here during the day because of committments at that time so that makes it hard for him to come on at a reasonable hour.

We have a lot of posters we just don't have enough players in our squad or big drawcard players. Most teams have at least one international player in their list whereas we don't.

We are rebuilding at the moment and I didn't expect us to do super well. We have a heap of new posters and players and there are only a few that have played before this season.

I'm trying my best. I come on this board on all occasions I visit here to give encouragement and support to our boys.

I think that maybe a couple of player type changes would do us some good. I don't know whether you can do that mid-season.

I'll be interested in what Jod has to say on this matter.

We are fast becoming the joke of the competition especially after the trashing we got in the last one dayer, and now we hold the wrong type of record.

We even had no movement in the recent trade period, when we could have picked up a few players who were not getting a shot elsewhere

All I can say is lucky Ljp is a good vice captain and gets the teams in on time because without him we wouldve lost a few points by penalty and put us even more in the

Changes are made but since we only have a squad of 13 there's not a lot of flexibility.

What we need during this rebuilding period is someone to take us forward, I have nothing against Jod and I hope he stays on in the team, but for the greater good of the team things do need changing... And why not start at the top

I can't do anything about this. I really can't recruit players without Jod's approval. Even if we had of participated in the trade week, we can only pick up players that were delisted.

For us to trade for players, we'd have to trade the players that are playing now (that's includes everyone in the side) and I don't want trade you guys away since it's only the first season for most of you.

I want to pick up players but we are restricted in terms of recruiting mid-season.

I don't want this to happen. Neither do any of us. I'm a passionate West Coast supporter and one of the biggest supporters behind this team and I'd like to see us continue into the future.

I'd like to keep this team going and try to recruit heavily during the off-season both new players and existing ones (I've checked the books boys, we have a lot of dough ).

I'd be happy to put my name forward for the Warriors leadership group at the right time, but not the captaincy.

IF (and it's a big IF at this stage) we are looking for a new skipper, we've got a perfectly capable VC who is being groomed for leadership - Ljp. And IF we were to go this way, then I'd much prefer to see a more natural succession with the VC getting the gig.
