Are rookies allowed to play or do they have to be promoted first?

lol.... i was thinking the same thing... the "experts" are naming the number of games these guys are playing in the year but have forgotten that some of them are rookies. If Hudson plays 10 games in the seniors, we are probably talking about Jolly snappin a ligament in round 17...

oh btw.. i think my sister will get a game in round 15

Russell our primary attacking defender? Is Heath Shaw dead? A bloke with rubbish disposal is going to take our kickouts and all of a sudden go from dud to gun, simply because he came to Collingwood. Now where have I heard this before..... oh that's right, I hear it just about every year.

I guess we'll see.

Heath Shaw played a lot of football this year on a wing and up forward. I would like to see all three of H, Russell, and Shaw all playing in the backline together, but I can't see it unless Toovs or Maxwell are hurt, so I think Heath is the best placed to be put into the midfield rotations and help out through the middle part of the ground.

I can see Grundy being broken in by playing up forward when lynch is being rested, swapping with jolly

eh? Hudson is going to be one of our nominated rookies so he can play from the get go.. We have another space as well, so someone else will have the opportunity too. Unfortunately long term injuries are unavoidable, so another spot may open as well, and then of course there's the allowed mid-season rookie elevation. Not so silly.

I can't be bothered doing them all but put me down for Ben Kennedy as playing virtually all season up forward.

Grundy will certainly have a run for couple of senior games, and quite possibly more.

I have a strong feeling he will play in a flag side. AFL or VFL, just a feeling.

wait and see if he's the "nominated rookie". There are so many people here that are certain what the club is doing that it's hard to work out what reality is. At this stage, there are two spots on the list that are vacant....and I bet they'll be vacant tomorrow..
