hi richmond supporters there is a rumour that former tiger(and swans player for 1 game) nick daffy is looking to play in my league the black diamond which is about 2 hours nrth of syd does any one know if he is able to play if he had an injuiry or moved back to melb?

Thats a little harsh.
Campbell and Knights both earnt their pay week in week out.
You have to remember that Richo is a freak of nature.
He sets the bar at a level few have achieved.

I spoke to him about 2 months ago actually! I work in a call centre for a fairly large Australian company and he just so happened to call up! He sounds like a decent bloke!

I would've thought it could be argued that he gave the tiges fair service during a period in a decade where very few who played did!

Daffy Duck was a good player for the Tigers , I'd stop short of calling him great but he was one of our better players. Unfortunately our side was pretty poor and over rated through the 90's so he got worship status because he some ability and a some what trendy haircut for the time.

He'd just make our team now by a stretch which is amazing since we haven't even made the 8 so it shows how far we've come from those halcion days of regular 9th spot finishes.

I think his outside projects took away from his game and that is why he was not a 200 game player but I'd take Nicks after football career and earnings over 90% of past footy players.

Is he a cog in our state of the art mentor programme and if so , who is he mentoring I'd be interested to know?

Was a good player for Richmond. Helped us make our first final series in 13 years.

It was not a good era, but for me at the time was the best I had ever seen the Tigers play. Knights, Campbell, Free were all better players than Daffy. None of them deserve the shit that a few posters on here dish out to them.
