Next captain??

There are a number of candidates for the next captain but the standout has to be Brown.

Only 21 yet he is a great leader, and is the tough and brave type of player I think the rest could look up to and respect (especially youngsters coming through).

I don't know how good his footy brain is but he is destined to be one of the greats at the club and I think he is a shoe-in for the captaincy.

Another good candidate would be Black.

Players who I think will be great vice-captains in the future are Power, Charman and Black.

Yeah, agree with what you've said. Looking even further down the track, maybe Sir Richard Hadley if he can establish himself as a mainstay in the side.

A very good prospect purely from a captaincy potential point of view would have been Luke Weller. C'est la vie.

I find it odd that you say that Hadley could be future captain when I broke the news that he would be and you rubbished me for it.

I'm sticking with Hadley to be the future captain. He'll definately get it over Brown and Black and the others. He'll be vice within a few years.

Hadley has no chance of being the next captain. None.

Nice try, SB. You said Hadley would be the NEXT Captain. Only way that will happen is if Vossy gets a pair of bionic legs and plays 'til he's 38.

Voss will be around for at least another 4 years playing in the forward pocket. By then, shock horror, Hadley would have done the time being vice and will replace him as captain.

I think Hadley would definitely be captain material further down the track.

However I think our next captain will be Brown, or Power.

c'mon SB.....

yeah u said he was going to be the next captain & that just wont happen.... it will be Browny & then after a couple of years RIchie will get vice but because theres not many years between them its probable that browny might stay @ the club as long as richie does & therefore if browny remains captain until he retires then richie would have to settle for vice & im sure he would do a damn good job working with others rather than being the 'leader' himself
