I would keep Rance in regardless. So what if he needs to find some form its not like we are in finals contention. One AFL game is worth 4 or 5 VFL games when it comes to experience for the younger players. But if i was Rawlings i would give him just one instruction - Just kick the ****ing thing and stop with all this ****ing handball.

Someone on PRE started up a rumour that it's his achillies playing up again but this time it's both feet not just one. Will be announced soon according to the rumour.
No rumour Barnzy, reported on MMM yesterday that it was his achillies that kept him out. Both are pretty dogdy but the left (IIRC) is more of a concern.

Club should mothball him and let him have a couple of months off now, get it right and be ready for a huge pre season. Playing him now isn't going to achieve anything major, we know the kid is a talent, so to keep playing him now would be like sending a potential Melb Cup horse to run midweek at Echuca, yeah the horse gets a run, but it pointless.

Too right if Cotchin isn't right then leave him out for the rest of the year.

Just for the record is it tendonitus?

How sure is MMM though. Did the club tell them or what? If true its terrieble news and i hope he gets better soon.

The big changes from today's side will be in Round 20, Tiges home game on a Saturday at The MCG against Collingwood
In- Moore, Raines, Polak, Cousins, Cotchin, Collins, Brown, Foley, Richardson, Bowden
Hopefully a win here will knock Collingwood out of the 4.

Cotch just can't catch a break. I think I would be in the majority in saying that he looks alot better then Deledio at the same age, esspeacially considering his injuries and lack of a presason

Put him in cotton wool for 6 months and hope that it heals in time for the preseason training

Doc Larkins was the one making the report, would say he would be fairly up with what was going on given that he works at the practice where most players go for check ups/treatment.

if Cotchin plays another game this season, i will vomit.

rest the kid, not worth the risk at all this season - we lose him, that will put this club back another 5 years...:(

Out :
Silvestor - too slow plain and simple

White- not up to it, sorry but 12-16 touches per game and a couple of touches and a goal here and there doesnt cut it for me, he was cut apart by harvey today

Coughlan- harsh but he is slow, we cant have tuck or him both in the same side.

Graham- pretty poor from gus, send him back to the 2's to get some touch

In: Cousins and Cotchin provided they are fit and reward Bowden who has been in decent nick for coburg. bowden to play in the forward line. And Reward Polak who has been great for coburg, he comes into the side to ruck/ forward with Vickery

Agree except substitute White for King.

He simply ins't the future and has to go

Hey hey hey!!! You be nice young RT.
We have a great race track up here and any Melbourne Cup horse should be proud to get to stretch his legs on the Hallowed turf..:D

Out: White, Hislop

In: Cousins, Cotchin

White just hasn't done enough all year, only gets 10-15 touches and hasn't been running and carrying like last year. It is a tough game to drop players as there weren't many players who played very bad.

Hislop was good on the weekend. Provides a solid bodied target up foward. He should keep his spot unless Brown or another foward comes in
I'm not the biggest Hislop fan as I don't think he gets the ball enough, however he does provide something this club has been craving for for decades - mongrel. When Edwards was getting roughed up, who came and sorted it out? Hislop. When Nahas was getting roughed up by Brady Rawlings, who came over and sorted Rawlings out? Hislop. Sometimes you need these blokes in the team. And it's not as if he's a complete nonperformer.
I'm starting to warm to him. Would love to see him play this week against his old side and scare the living daylights out of some of their scared little squibs.

I'm in the same boat tugga.
Not a big fan but have been impressed in the hardness of the lad.
He is not scared of anyone and not afraid the stand up when others are in a bit of a bind.
As you said above we have not had a player in this mould for a long time. in fact thinking back the last couple of players that we had who fitted the bill would be Jimmy Jess and Malthouse in the early 80s.
You could include Greame Landy and Peter Wilson but Wilson became a lot more of an enforcer when he went to West Coast.
We have had a few try hards since but none that really made the grade.
