Not even sure if he is eligible but a guy from Sturt called Angus Monfries played one senior game for Sturt this year and was only 15 at the time or may have just turned 16. Played in the U/16 Champs this year.

Carnell - gun. Most dedicated junior footy player I've seen.
Jackson - Flashy but inconsistent. Can kick big bags.
Lynch - dead set ****ing soft ****. Most overrated junior there is.
Willits - Certainty. Heaviest bloke on u/18 Knights list, only u/16. Name is Ryan not Sam.
Morgan - bit slight, but can play HB/HF. Beautiful mark & disposal.
McKinley - may suffer from choosing school system over TAC Cup
Cloke - very good.

Luke Morgan wont be up for a long time. still only in year 10, i'd kno... goes to my school. keep your eyes out for brent stanton in this years draft tho, another viewbank boy, and next year nick lynch, another one. then the next year luke will be up.

Depends on whether the rule change to ages goes through or not.

Stefan Garrubba
Chris Knights
Ben Sharp
Chris Egan
Ryan Griffen
Clint Ladiges
Earl Shaw
Brendan Van Schank
Benet Copping

Guys born in 87 may have to wait until 2005 draft

Fabian DeLuca
Brett Deledio
Marcus Drum
Ryan Willits
Brendan Tyquin
Steven Rioli (def in 2004).

DeLuca looks the really hot prospect at the moment. Allready a 202cm ruckman and first choice for Eastern Ranges.

So are you saying that he will be eligible next year or 2005?

Apologies. Steve Rioli is definately in the 2005 draft.

Of the other guys born in 87, they are in the first half of the year and so are currently in the draft unless the age goes up from 17.5 to 18 as rumoured.

And before anyone asks I don't quite know where Steve Rioli fits into the clan. I was told he was Dean's nephew.

just a couple of names to come out of queensland

matt pardew - kpp from morningside, was queensland senior's chb this year against canberra at 19yrs, a very strong player with a huge kick left and right. if teams are fair dinkum, he will at least be on a rookie list somewhere next year. can be moulded into a matthew scarlett type player or dean soloman.

jake furfaro - a strong playing half back from mt gravatt(unfortunately), all australian this year. may go.

lee ryswyk - southport scum, i mean player - quick, i think he made all-aussie, but not sure.

ps do not act surprised when shane morrison is living in melbourne in a couple of weeks. gone.

mafc premiers 2003, go the mighty panthers

I've forgotten the player's name, but he played CHB for Vic Country this year from the Gippsland Power. He towelled up Watts when the game was to be won in the Championships. he looks a very likely type.

Ryan Murphy - he is eligible this year (and should be picked up).

De Luca excites me, he looks very promising. Deledio is the other genuine gun I've seen.

Knights, Garrubba and Sharp all look good as well.

Tyquin has to learn how to kick before I'd be convinced.

But it seems to be shaping as a good year (mind you, I said that this time last year).

This year is a good year for a quality recruiter after 1st round.

Went to school with Benet Copping, he was already about 6ft 5 when he was in year 9, god knows what he is now. Was first ruck always and was never beaten but now seems to be at CHB with Sturt Under 17's

From SA blokes to look out for are:

Angus Monfries, this guy is def a hot prospect a smaller version of Cooney (not as good tho)

Shannon Hurn, he is 16 years old atm, played in the SANFL under 19's Grand Final for the winning team centrals, was judged BOG with 30 touches and 17 marks froma half back flank  and is captain I think of the SA under 16 side which was runner up in the carnival to WA. He is well buit already something like 188cm 85kg

Ben Ekermann, heard a lot about him but dont know much myself

Saunders, yep he looks pretty good

Marty Wilson, pretty good player also from my school.

Travis Cloke played one game for U18 Eastern Ranges, probably filling in for the lads who were playing at the U18 carnival at the time.

His stats (after playing at FF):

13 posessions, 6 marks, 5 hit outs, 2 goals, 2 behinds.

Aparantly already very well built, but more athletically gifted than his brothers.

Not too shabby...not too shabby at all!! :D

im good mates with a bloke called Josh Sampson, started out this year as a 15 year old with south adelaide, soon turned 16-janurary, but was told by south he might not make it this year as he was still young, started the trial matches in their 3rd 20, then the next trial made the 2nds, then finally firsts, by the first game he was ruck rover in the team, and then really shined, getting numerous BOGs then by round 12 being asked to play under 19s, which he turned down to try and make the 17s make the finals, round 17 came and once again he was asked to play 19s and thought it would be a good experiance and went up to play and once agian in his first game of under 19s got best on ground, in his first match ever against people over 18! he continued on in the 19s and played well, when finals came around and south had 4 league reserves players coming back, he retained his posision in the side! then last friday night he was named as runner up in souths UNDER 17S B&F, playing only 14 games compared to 20 by the winner, he lost by two votes! later that night he was named as best player over two grades! for some reason he wasnt even chosen in the state 16s squad, while players in his under 17 team were! he is about 6 ft 1, and run 100m over about 13 seconds wen he was 12, dnt know about know though! hes a pretty solid lad and is passionate bout his footy! he'd be up there for 2004 draft!

Also Bennet coppings name has been mentioned round abit, hes good but very skinny, needs a solid preseason!

Also Angus Monfries will be a gun!
