Was a ok come from behind win, Pie were never out of it aslong as they kicked 2 in a row.

Tigers did I must admit look confortable infront in the 2nd half only to lose it right near the end.

good start by the pies but can they continue against better opposition ?

who knows, only time will tell.

comeback wins always leave me knackered from stress :)

tigers could have buried us, i mean 25 up 8mins into 4th! i was gutted! but we managed to counter their wallace signature gameplan

i thought the opposition was a good litmus test for us. the odds were basically even for both teams but yeah be interesting to see how we handle the eagles up in darwin!

Pies really struggled with
(a) kicking
(b) Wizzer Cup rules. We seemed to have done no homework. Josh alone cost us 9 points in a single incident.
(c) midfield pace

Apart from all that we were the better side all night. It took a while to run the Tigers down and we should have won by more, but they got there eventually.

Good hitout. Need a lot more to be competitive this season though.

eddie best draft picks where the ones playing in orange ,good skills not! I think 17th is the highest you girls can aim for at the end of the season should try some new players the old one just don't cut it . :)

Is there and midfield pace on the books at Collingwood and if so why didn't Malthouse use the Wizzer to experiment with it? Can see it may me a long season for Collingwood if they don't bring some quick legs onto the ground!

Its more how they used the ball and manned up than actual leg speed. We woon the game with muscle, the same way we made two Grand Finals. You cant just pick kids because they are quick, they will take time to learn the game.

The biggest plus for Collingwood last night was the hard attack on the ball was back and the desire to backup their team mates. We dominated the game around the ground and Richmond got most of their goals against the tide of play. Realistically we should have won by 5 goals. I don't mind the skills being down at the moment as long as the hardness is there.

Collingwood only struggled in the midfield while Malthouse was still giving duds like O'Bree, Lokan, Shaw and so forth a chance to prove themselves in there. Once guys like Burns, Neon, Dutchy, Lica, Morrison, Woey and even young Rowe were the guys getting rotated through the midfield, we were doing fine.

If guys like Neon, Dutchy, Rowe and maybe even Didak when he gets back can give us quality time in the midfield, then speed won't be nearly as big a concern.

Collingwood struggled kicking straight

FFS, the scoreboard looks like it usually does, except we came out victors.

We really need to kick straight, even if Mick said we have improved.

Rocca actually did look like a leader that performed.

I thought we won on Friday Night, doesn't matter how weak the opponents were, we still performed at the same rate as them last year. FFS, the umpiring was ********house, and by no means did it favour us so I have no idea what your trying to spit out.

"Should try some new players" - are you a ******??? Collingwood 10 debutants in 2004, (Davidson, Nixon, Richards, King, Mullins, C Cloke, Maxwell, Rowe, Shackleton, Crow). Some worked, some didn't, but we got Chad Morrison for Bo Nixon. Nathan Buckley was the Collingwood of the 90's, not of the new millenium. We have been a team for the last few years, and Buckley has been nowhere near the best player in each match for the Pies.

So take a look at our side, and say we are a one man team.
