Anyone know the value of our current picks?

Maybe around 1,800. It will depend where we, dogs, freo and crows land. Think we also got a 4th rounder from gws which is tied to Geelong

Did anyone seriously think the media (you know the thing that controls the AFL and therefore the other 17 clubs) was EVER going to let US and Nick Daicos have a gentle lead up year into the 2021 draft? C'mon folks...its gonna be like this all year. They're (the media) gonna drag this out all the way and there's nought anyone can do to stop em.

Expect cover to cover spreads of the lad, interviews and photos after all of his games, Kingy and Kane to salivate all over it.

For a middle of the road team we're gonna be "the HEADLINE ACT" once again....for no better reason than we sell stuff.

Welcome to the Pies Nick!

Media will do everything Possible he goes Number 1 in the Draft and we pay Max Points to get him

Of course. The 2 flogs from the Herald in Ralph and Robinson are giving everyone weekly reminders

Don't forgot Cal Twomey who loves Collingwood Father Sons/NGA Prospects

he’s already being drafted by us, surely he could just tank 😬

With us Trading our 1st Pick we want him to look good as we won't look bad IF a Bid came after where our 1st Round Pick would been

TD that's a given mate. Anything to stick it to the Pies they will do it with glee.
Or he’s actually as good as they say he is and they’re just reporting the truth....

If they keep talking it up, AFL might might father son similar to NGA. Nick gonna enjoy playing with Stevo next year!
Yes, because Collingwood is the first club to ever have access to a gun FS.

I don't get how talking up Nick Daicos is sticking it the Pies. Recruiters aren't going to make decisions based on these articles
But it does have an impact. Anyone who knows anything about recruiting knows that. The more media attention he gets the more and more clubs will go to games he plays and have a focus on him. That focus will skew their perceptions of other players. As when you go to a game with a list of names to watch you focus in on them and then miss things from other players

Firstly it's not about the result it's about the intention.

Secondly if they bring his rating up from 3 to 1 they are sticking it to the Pies.

That might be the case for lower rated players - but not guys at the extremely pointy end. It's pretty clear that recruiters are going to be at his games as it's TAC. He starred in the first game of the year. Thus he's going to be on radars regardless of the press - the fact that he's a father son that we seem certain to take may actually may actually result in them watching him a bit less closely than if he wasn't.

People complaining on social media about the media talking up Nick Daicos... oh the irony

Yep. Someone posts an article that says he's a gun, posters give the article a like becasue it's sayshe's a gun, and then complain that it's saying he's a gun, whilst they also declare that he's an absolute gun.

It makes me want to pick up a gun...

Yes, full time recruiters don't already see he's a gun, it's only after Callum Twoomey or Robbo make an article about him that they notice that
