I do not think Nick is going anywhere.. probably you don't either

I was addressing 2 posts... in one you reckon 5 weeks exile is enough... I think the coaching staff will know when, or if, to bring Davis back.. even the staunchest ND fan like Nat will just have to patiently wait!

If he does go up for trade... sadly for Nick after the rap he got from MM at wobbles and rep he has helped make a hype about at Syd.... then it will be going up as "damaged goods".... therefore if Hawks who clearly will fight like the devil to make Everitt hard to get would hardly offer him plus pick 21.. and the Hawks do not need a goal sneak HFF!

IMO NO WAY!

Okay robbie, there's no way i'm doing that again, i don't have the energy to argue to same point over and over again.

I want Nick Davis in the team and that's what it comes down to. He's waited long enough.. but sitting him all this time it's stupid.

.. and what is wrong with Sydney today? Pretty much pathetic.

I hope not. At this stage I would not blame him for walking out.

I'm sorry, I didn't realise that people weren't allowed to have opinions on selection.

Whatever Nick did, it's time for the coaches to extend the olive branch. I don't see what is gained out of humiliating and breaking him.

I don't think that Davis' admittedly long list of issues will matter too much this year. Gardiner and Akermanis will both be on the market and Nick is a saint in comparison to the problems those two have had. So I think we would be ok on that front.

Everitt is 33 next year, out of contract, returning from injury and no longer in Hawthorn's starting 18. That doesn't add up to a high trade value. Certainly he would be of lower value than Davis.

Thanks for your polite reply, more than I deserved, possibly

I hope they don't entertain recruiting Everitt

I also hope Nick does not leave but am feed up with the debates about his plight, so I will avoid them if I can

Cheers

Meaning what? This thread doesn't have anything to do with Nick was a person, i don't really care what he is like off field aslong as he comes and plays good football (mind you, i think he is a nice guy).

I agree with you though about the first thing you said, i really hope he does come out and have a good game. He has alot to prove and i'm sure he knows it, so let's hope he has a good one. But regardless of that i don't think anyone can deny his ability, he is a star footballer. I think we all wish he'd use it more though.

Nick Davis announced a week before he played in a Grand Final for Collingwood he wanted to go to Sydney. He has now degraded the whole Sydney Swans selection committee and half the players from the club by telling them in the press he is better than them. As a Pies supporter watching the Swans win the flag last year I believe was because you were the best "Team" not the best individual players.

If Nick Davis is selected... and plays Finals... will you still be a team (or 21 players and Nick Davis). He's a self centred tool... Trade him while you can (preferably to a Club that has a KFC close by... FAT PR##K!)

He wanted to move to Sydney, get over it. He wanted to be with his family, i think that's fair enough.

.. and which players has he said anything about to the media? It was actually the otherway around, players like Brett Kirk and Barry Hall came out and said things about him. He never said anything about anyone. All he said was that he didn't find it fair that the blame was being put on him for the lose and that he didn't feel the reasons for his dropping were justifyed.

Yes, we may have been the best "team" to win the premiership but the fact is individual brillance did come into it. Every single Swans player were trying their hearts out that night of the Semi final in the last quarter but no one was going to kick a goal.. there was no way that any of the other 21 of them was going to kick 4 goals even together.

Nick Davis will be getting selected, he will be playing in finals and he won't be getting traded.

He said he should not have been dropped and that there were other players that should be dropped before him... as if he wanted the players to look at themselves.

He will be selected... and yes he will play finals. I look forward to playing Sydneys top 21 players and "Plucka" - he has painted a big target on himself to be taunted.

As Nathan Buckley pointed out he is soft. Get a hard ball Nick... not a 3 piece feed!!!

Sydney will regret trying to look after him... once a soft selfish fat PRXXK always a selfish soft fat PRXXK.

Quote? I don't remember him saying that people should have been dropped before him. Even if he did say that, he did not name names and if he did say that then it was justifyed because yes, there should have been players dropped before he was.

Regret trying to look after him? Regret him getting us to a preliminary final? Er, no.. try again.

There are two players this year that have critisised their coaches decisions in the press.

1. Jason Akermanis - Triple Premiership player Brownlow Medalist (one of the greats) - SACKED, right move for the Club.

2. Nick Davis - Paul Roos came out in the press and was more angry than I've ever seen, now all has been forgiven (Ooh! - is that sweet)... but will not be forgotten...

I believe Sydney are more skilled and experienced than last year, this means they should fly in as Premiers... Lets just see if Nick Davis has learnt his lesson and see if the leadership group and players consider him their chum again... You won't make the Granny if they don't.

Yes, he has been forgiven.. Paul Roos aswell as numerous other players have come out and said that he's done what was needed to be done to deserve a spot in the team, regarding his attitude and "form and fitness".

Really i can't believe the amount of Collingwood players that find the need to put crap on one of their ex players. Move on. Maybe you should be a little bit more concerned with your own players problem.. like Tarrant maybe?

Sorry?

When did Tarrant bag out Mick Malthouse's decisions in the press?

Mick has really given to Taz in the press too hasn't he?

Obviously i'm not talking about him speaking to the press.. i'm saying that you as a Collingwood supporter should be more concerned with your players then one of your ex-players.

Sydney morning herald (not the Melbourne paper)

29% of votes said Roos should get Davis a shift at KFC

July 20th... How quickly you all forget

The thing is a joke.. infact i think i actually voted in there myself.. and i voted for the KFC thing.

Get him a spot on Dancing on Ice? - 11%

It's not a serious pole mate.

Relating to the topic of this thread, i just visited the Swans Website. On the 'Player Focus' area, it talks about Nick Davis. It says that Roos has confirmed on Wednesday that Nick Davis will play!

seriously, no surprises there! :D
