What a f%$ing gun! His 2nd and 3rd quarter performance was sensational.

I don't care what anyone says, he's the best set shot for goal in the afl. He missed one set shot that was touched on the line and kicked every other. He really showed his true colours today.

I believe Roos understands how to bring out nickys true potential. After a tubulent year nicky really shone through today!

he is a gun when it comes from the set shot and im a bugger from bringing up the past, but if only there was a bounce in front of goal before the siren.

Nick Davis was absolutley marvellous! He is deadly accurate and such a great goal kicker. I really thought he was going to save us, brought memories back from the Geelong final. Sorry to Big Nasty...

If only Nick Davis marked it... ohh the possibilities

I thought Nick Davis was going to win the game for you today, he was ****ing sensational. Shows a lot about the character of the lad, it wasnt long ago he was on the outer and ready to leave the club. He said he had to make it up to Roos and the other players and he certainly did that today. He is a star.

I thought he was going to win the game for us. Too bad he dropped a few marks

Just as well he proved his selfish side earlier in the year by bagging out the coaching staff and players for him being dropped!

This cost the team earlier in the season of the feeling the team is bigger than the individual. Well great individual performance today Nick...

22 Eagles players played well as a team
21 Swans players played well as a team
Nick Davis played well in a team.

1 Point the difference.

Go bock to KFC Nick

Roos finally gave Davis the chance to do what he did because he played him deep in the forward line and often one-out.

That's the way he should ALWAYS be played, he is wasted up the ground he should be a permanent forward.

It hasn't happened enough this year.

His goals were so important. I felt in the last quarter though that he wasn't played in the right position. It was almost like we needed two Nick Davis' though. I watched him pretty closely in the last quarter (sat right behind our goals city end) and i knew why he was there but i wished that they would have pushed him further up the field just a little.

He is one of the players who did their job though. I'm very proud of him.

May I post in your forum?

Nick Davis is a quality footballer, and has an amazing record in finals. I think he never failed to score for us in a final and I imagine its the same for you guys.

It felt like he either set up or actually kicked every goal in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Solid gold performance, and the highlight was his massive bomb. I was barracking for the Eagles (for my misguided nephew's sake) but that one had me on my feet and roaring.

Shame about the result. If we'd won the game, Nick Davis's return would have been one of the footy stories of the year.
