Hey guys one of my mates was best mates with this nick until he moved back to WA but he rang me the other nite and asked me how he was travelling. I realise that he has a good build on him im just wondering since you guys have a potent forawrd and backline that he would get better oppurtunities at a richmond or another place like that. And can he play defence? Also what year and wat draft pick did u use to pick him up?

We drafted him in the 2002 draft with pick 15, and there is no way we would consider trading him. He showed a lot of promise last year as a tall forward, very strong hands and a good kick and got games before he was due to as we blooded youngsters last year.

He had glandular fevor earlier in the year and he has struggled a bit. Playing at the moment as a CHF and pinch hitting ruckman. I believe he will make it and there's no use in trading one of our promising young talls.

definatly should get him used to FF coz lots of dees supporters are hoping that he can replace neitz

im pretty happy with the rest of our key positions besides FF coz of neitz's age

Smith will take a couple of years to develop, he's a great mark and obviously a good size, he hasn't been dominating at Sandy but he doesn't need to at this stage. I'm confident that Daniher will do the right thing by him.

i would cry if we traded him.

im hoping he lives up to expectations, and overtakes holland some time next year....

then takes over from neitz once he retires!!

to have miller @ chf and smith @ ff... 2 boys who were captains of there states at u/18 level would be fantastic!

Nick played a few Senior games last season & didn't do a whole lot. I liked his game in the VFL preliminary final against Box Hill, bucket hands & a very reliable kick. Drifted in & out of games last year.

This year post Glandular Fever he's been a bit more solid, but he's not really pushing for another Dees game just yet. Given a full pre-season I can see him playing Holland's role next season & eventually he'll be given his chance at Full Forward.

I can't see us trading him & if he was to leave he'd probably go back to SA anyway I'd reckon.

I don't think he's a defender either.

I love to see him back in SA in black white and teal
