It appears Nick Smith from the Dees has been delisted. Do any of you people think we could give him a run? If we do happen to delist Fanning and C.Cloke I would be will to pick him up in the PSD, along with picking up a young tall in the draft.

I know he didnt impress with his only game this year, but he is still young, and stands a nice 198cm, and can't be any worse than what we've got.

Just curious... whats with you putting a capital in front of every word? I've noticed this over time. Would be extremely annoying to type :D

All we know about him is he is a good VFL player and can't play at senior level. Riddled with injuries, hence his nickname 426 (4-to-6 weeks always in the casualty list)

With Walker, C Cloke, Hall and Fanning each expected to be looked at closely, with the first three most likely gawn, Smith seems a valuable prospect, however, Smith is like each of those first three players. He has the same ability as Walker, except Walker is more versatile. He has as much height as Cloke, except Cloke has had experience as an AFL ruckman. He has the same problem as Hall, by not being able to crack a game after many years.

I think we should stay away from him, considering MM and co. would not be in the same situation as Fremantle (looking at short-term). We are still in strategic planning, and Smith would seem likely as a depth player in the short-term.

It's interesting that Smith was used with pick 15 in the 2003 draft. We traded that pick to Melbourne for Woewodin.

I'd have a look at him. I remember watching him in the VFL a few years back and he was very impressive. Melbourne said they delisted him because they have heaps of KPP's.

No, he wasn't - We traded pick #14 that they used on Daniel Bell.

Pick #15 was part of the Chris Heffernan trade.
