Just had a look at the tenis board and ive seen that im not the only one who likes Nicole. She is my favourite female tennis player and in my opinion the most attractive. Enjoy watching her play and im shattered that her ranking has fallen to 188 and she didnt play in the Aus Open this year.

In 2008 i went to all her singles and doubles matches at the open, took photos and wrote match reports for an inernational website (a bit obsessed i know). Co incidently she shares the same birthday as me and is exactly 3 years older. But as of late, she has been severely out of form, unsure if this is because of injuries, passion or bloody Stepanek...

So yeah, basically i started this thread to see if there are any other Nicole fans or if there is anyone else concerned with her form as of late
 
Its quite weird I don't think I have ever seen as big a form drop as this. She went from being an up and coming grand slam contender to a no hoper. Maybe there is something wrong mentally.

Its a shame because she is very good looking.
 
lol why blame Radek? If she played half as good as him she would be world no. 1 in womens.

To be honest mate I think you should give up on her, from what I have read she has just lost the plot.

hes a distraction, plus shes always watching him instead of training etc

Ana made 4th round at Wimbledon and the French and 3rd at last years AO.
But yes she's still shit.

Nicole played the 25k Lutz last week and lost pretty convincingly in the first round. I guess, like Ana, she has other things in her life that make her happy, and tennis is no longer the number one priority. Im sure she'll make a comeback to the top 100, no reason why she can't, she's done it before. I just can't see it happening any time soon. Maybe 2-3 years.
 
At last years US open she failed to qualify, and then spent most of the next fortnight watching Radek play.

It's funny, Martina Hingis was sometimes known as the Black Widow because of how the male players she dated had a sudden, inexplicable drop in form. Julian Alonso, Ivo Heuberger, Magnus Norman all had large ranking slides after hooking up with her. The same happened to Radek Stepanek, his ranking slipped from the top 10, to outside the top 100, while he was with Hingis.

But then something changed, Stepanek and Hingis broke up, Stepanek charged back up the rankings, Hingis slid down, and announced her retirement a few months later, and Stepanek, having absorbed the Black Widows power, then turned his attention to Nicole.

lol nice. So essentially its Hingis' fault that Vaidisova is now crap :D

For those who are interested, according to her official website, Nicole will make her season debut in a challenger in Florida, where she will probably be seeded 4th.

Seems she would have had to pre qualify for the Oz Open, so she by passed it and is trying to build her ranking and confidence up through challengers.

I see what your getting at. I would think if he managed to get back up he would have probably given it up.

yeah thats correct mate, but she lost on the first round 2-6 4-6 unfortunately

what is her official website?
 
Just saw her section of the Florida draw. Mirjana Lucic still grinding away I see. Does she still stand halfway to the service line to receive?

Word has it that she's not well liked by other Czech players (namely Lucie Safarova and Tomas Berdych), and the Czechs apperently don't really consider her to be a real czech anymore. I can't believe someone who was making GS semis though can't even win round 1 at challenger events now.

Speaking of Challengers, I believe The Scud makes his return in Dallas next week. Guccione does too
