Nicoski is all class!
Be prepared for the birth of a star, with one of the best left-foot raking kicks you'll see..

Nicoski has excellent awareness of what's happening around him and good evasive skills which enable him to find some space where there isn't much. He reminds me of the Murphy lad that plays for the Western Bulldogs. He is also excellent at corralling a player and doesn't overcommit. But, perhaps, his most telling skill is his ability to kick accurately and long - his kick is devastatingly accurate which is what you need coming out of the back half.
Don't worry, he has the makings.

Agree with all that- the ability to find space where there isn't much is very to similar to Cousins' best trait, which is why long term I'm hopeful Nico could end up a really classy ball magnet type midfielder.

For now thugh, it is kinda neat to have three absolute booming kicks in our backline, in Nicoski, Lynch and Wirra- clearing the ball shouldn't be much of a worry.

Sounds like hes gonna be good so can't wait to see his debut match.

Not yet seen him play so can't really have a personal opinion, but his body doesn't seem to be AFL ready but they're giving him a run.......

we'll see what happens.

I hope he goes well.

I am saddened a bit as a good mate of mine who had the best raking left foot kick I have ever seen died tragically and too young last year. He could of been anything.

I hope Nikoski is a star, raking left footers are gems

I didn't have the game on TV up here (thank God) and the radio broadcast was full of buffeting and useless; however, from the statistics it looks like Nicoski at least can hold his head up high.
Good on him. I would like some feedback on him from those of you who saw the game, either live or on TV.
Jeez, I hope Woosha makes some changes to that forward line structure for next week - why do we always go in with a tall short?

You didn't miss much :)

I really really liked Nico's game- got more time in the second half, and was very deft and sure with his ball movement. Most of his disposals were gathered off the half back, and did lots of the classic 'run clear of the backline and drill it long' type touches that are his bread and butter at WAFL level. Looked confident, self assured and pretty classy on a day when much more experienced heads fell to pieces- he'll definitely be there next week.

What amazed me was his ability to keep his feet, even though the conditions were very slippery, when many others including Judd and Kerr lost their footing.

Was very impressed. If Glass get back and Lynch continues to go a little better every week. The backline will look good with Nicoski, Wirrpunda and Waters being the smalls.

No doubt he will be in the side next week.

VERY excited about him. Kicked 2 of the best running goals Ive seen in a Subi game last year. Great raking kick, fast, evasive and seems to have a good head in tight.

Excellent debut given how the rest of the side was going.

I was so impressed with Nicoski that I was worried he might overshadow Walker for a rising star nomination this week. If I was giving votes, he would be in my top two for you guys.
