As much as I hate to say this he has done his dash with me an I'm trading him he has cost me at least a good 300 points so far this year I'm just not sure who with yet.

I have a pretty reliable midfield, so i will keep with him on the bench (he only got me a 0 one game, but i had a reserve)

Fact is, if he strings together some games, he will go up in value, then i can get rid of him and at least make some cash.

Who else are you gonna get for that price (unless you eat into your bank account) that can score as well as he does when he plays?

The sensible thing would be to include him in your team, and make sure you have a reserve capable of scoring well just in case he doesn't play. If he does play, even when down on form and fitness (like round 1) he will score because he is a possesion getter.

It's just a matter of time before he starts playing, and if i can have a player for his cost who will constantly score well once going, i wouldn't mind giving up some points every week. I have Gibbs covering and once L.Thomas when he actually had an OK-ish score so i'm not too fussed.

How can you guarantee he will score well? Even if he does play next week, it will have been almost a month since his first game, and I doubt his level of fitness or lack of game time will allow him to slip straight back into form.

Im trading him for another player. Probably Hadley. Ive had Gibbs on the bench who has continually filled in for Lappin for 3 weeks and performed well so i might as well start him.

I also hope that when i trade him he doesnt play next week.

round one was his first game in 18 months, and he scored 88 in a half of footy.

he will definately play next week. what a waste of trade for you if he does play.

People said he was defiantly going to play this week. Im going to stick with him though. Ive had Higgins covering for him the past 3 so its no big loss.

Lappin just cost me a win.

Travelling beautifully for the first three rounds and then:

Andrew Browne - hammy

Winderlich - hammy

Selwood - dropped

Lappin - misses again from a corky.

Bloody hell 4 players out in the centres.

Bring back the rule where you can cover players with emergencies from other positions. I'm sick of having all my injuries in the one position and then having gun emergencies who can't play because they are from a different position.

I thought I had it bad with Lappin/Browne/Selwood. Winderlich on top of that is nasty.

I'm going to trade Browne for Hadley this week. Not doing it before Round 4 cost me a league win :thumbsd:

I was in doubt, so I didn't pull the trigger. But I've now convinced myself its the right move (Hadley's 70-odd was a reasonable clincher!).

Nigel will be right for round 5. Would be a waste of a trade to get him out after already waited with him for 3 weeks. You have to remember the first 2 weeks he missed he did not train. The 3rd week he did train so was obviously alot closer to selection.
