What's everyone's opinion about this band?

Personally, I go through stages of loving them and then just barely liking them. They have some absolute pearler songs like "Star****ers, inc.", "Everyday Is Exactly The Same" and "Happiness In Slavery" which put me in a mood to listen to their works for hours on end. Other times I just can't listen to them, no idea why.

Still haven't got around to getting their new album but I'm sure I will soon. What's everyone's favourite songs by the band?

My favourite band easily. Reznor is a genius and puts on one of the greatest live acts ever. Was one of the first bands that really got me into music on a different level. Opened my eyes up also to alot of different music then what I was into.

Year Zero is a great album, not so sure if it has the lasting power of his previous works. Alot better then With Teeth (has grown on me slightly lately though). My only regret is seeing them live only once.

i feel the same way,when in the mood i can play several NIN in a row. Frajile would be my fav,its diverse..love the instrumentals and the layered ambience of the music on that album.DS is of course killer,trademark sound was 'nailed' the best there. 'with teeth' had its moments but was rather bland in areas. year zero makes up for that,its a corker..more like the frajile in sound.very electronic. there are some nice beat freakouts in there.good to see trent sober and still making killer tunes

Star****ers is the worst song hes done, or capital g, but last album was alright

I still haven't heard the NIN original "Hurt". Heard the Cash version, how do they compare?

NIN is much darker and moody. Trent's version is better however there is no music video as it wasnt released as a single. The music video for Cash's version is very moving stuff. I like both of them.
