This may very well be the next Nintendo controller.

I knew that must have been a mistake.. This is the controller.. It has pieces that can come out of it as apparently the games are played much differently on the revolution... Its not like todays game consoles...

With that said its not so bad...

Thats only a mock up by IGN.

Nintendo have confirmed that it can be put into a 'controler shell' but, i'm starting to become quiet interested in the thing. When you read IGN's explinations of hhow it worked, in Nintendo provided demos, etc. It begins to become more and more plausable.

Sorry i just read it was a mock up, but assuming the actual thing is anything like that its not so bad.

I think if they get it right it could be an excellent controller, imagine using it as a sword in a game like Zelda or a tennis racquet if a tennis game was available.
Hopefully the shell part come in the box and not as something you have to purchase seperately.

I think Nintendo's biggest weakness besides thier brilliant yet uncontrolled creativity is that they give other developers FAR too much credit. From what I read on IGN this is a really fresh and exciting idea much like the DS but much like the DS Nintendo are going to have to rely on other developers not to be lazy and actually use it. Something that I'm sure in time will prove to be a big mistake.

My nephew wants one so i'll be looking at getting this machine if not for the fact that you can download nearly the entire nintendo catalog of games from the nes, snes, n64, gamecube. If it has online capabilites well then i will definately get one as long as the price is right.
