The 2010 Four'N Twenty All-Australian squad

Carlton:
Chris Judd
Collingwood: Alan Didak, Darren Jolly, Harry O'Brien, Scott Pendlebury, Dane Swan
Essendon: Dustin Fletcher, Jobe Watson
Fremantle: David Mundy, Matthew Pavlich, Aaron Sandilands
Geelong Cats: Gary Ablett, Corey Enright, Paul Chapman, Steve Johnson, James Kelly, Harry Taylor, Joel Selwood
Hawthorn: Luke Hodge, Lance Franklin
Melbourne: James Frawley, Brad Green, Mark Jamar
North Melbourne: Brent Harvey, Brady Rawlings, Andrew Swallow
Richmond: Brett Deledio, Jack Riewoldt
St Kilda: Nick Dal Santo, Brendon Goddard, Lenny Hayes, Leigh Montagna
Sydney Swans: Adam Goodes, Nick Malceski, Shane Mumford
West Coast: Mark LeCras
Western Bulldogs: Matthew Boyd, Adam Cooney, Barry Hall, Brian Lake

No one for us. Wouldn't think we'd have anyone make the final team - Johncock was fantastic but didn't play enough, Thompson shows his courage and toughness but there's plenty of guys like that - but to have no one even make the squad is a bit rich. Especially with spuds like Frawley and Mundy fronting up. The way it's constructed is a joke anyway, so pffffffft.

Goodes... srsly?

Yeah, overall, pretty unsurprising.

Frawley and Mundy are both very decent players but I could not understand how on earth they actually made the side.

This may have to be the worst AA side I have EVER EVER SEEN.

The ones I have put in bold are absolute jokes...I am actually flabbergasted.

Judd has been ORDINARY this year, he never shows what he did at WCE any more.

Enright...um are you kidding me? This year has been serviceable at best.

Frawley....hahahaha wtf

Mundy... WHAT THE HELL.

Deledio....he has been okay. Thompson has been a lot better!

Jobe Watson? WTF WTF WTF

Adam Goodes.....OMG WTF WTF WTF WTF....had a CRAP first 16 weeks. CRAP.

Frawley gets picked based on improvement, thats what annoys me, Truck getting overlooked year after year is starting to piss me off

Yeah Rutten has had a reasonable year again, wouldn't have made the team but could have made the squad. Not sure we really had anyone worthy of the quad this year, Johncock & Goody probably would've made it with more games.

Adam Goodes did not have a great year, he had a servicable year but not AA level and he would probably admit that. Can't believe Fletcher made the list again, he never plays on the best forwards anymore and when he does he leaks goals. Also not sure that Brady Rawlings is in the best 40 players of the year either.

The obvious
F: LeCras-Riewoldt-Hall
HF:??????-Pavlich-???????
C:???????-???????-????????
HB:?????-Taylor-???????
B:??????-Lake-Fletcher
R:Sandilands-??????-???????
Int:Jamar-??????-???????-???????

the rest will just be filled with random midfielders

Judd, Swan in the guts
Ablett and Champman probably on the forward flanks
Goddard being in the backline as the versatile player

But as long as Swallow and Watson get in I'm happy, underrated players who deserve to be there, but I beleive they'll be overlooked for more well known players

Oh - and I don't beleive Taylor or Fletcher should be there, but I can't even spot another key defender

The only ones I agree on there is Judd and Frawley.

Enright - Hasn't been as good as last year, but still been very good.
Mundy - Amazes me this guy isn't rated more, very deserving of his spot.
Deledio - You obviously don't watch Richmond enough then.
Jobe Watson - Has carried that team all year while still performing very well.
Adam Goodes - Actually had a good start to the season, his only quiet patch was mid season, over a space of 5-6 games.

Swan is hardly a 'random' midfielder.

Deledio - Why him over 50 or so other midfielders who have played the same role...Douglas has been just as good as him.

Mundy - Mate, Freo fans want to get rid of him!

Watson - Thompson has carried us all year. Why not him?

Goodes - start of the year, middle of the year, who cares. He was crap for a sustained period.

For Deledio I'm assuming he got named in the defenders group as he has spent a fair bit of time as a rebounding defender. Which he has done well enough to earn him a nod, but if it is just for his midfield output I would probably tend to agree with you although I don't think he is the worst decision on that list.

Johncock is the only notable exclusion. Nothing to get too riled up about though.

Oh well. I guess it matters little and reflects our year in general. Disappointing though.

Oh dear. I hope you aren't serious with that comment. Mundy will finish top 3 in their B&F this year, and Freo fans always can't work out why he isn't rated higher. I think a visit to the Freo board is in order for you, there is a thread dedicated to how important he is for them FFS.

It's embarrassing how many of you people are laughing at Frawley's selection. How many Melbourne games have you seen? He has been brilliant all year. The only two players in my All-Australian team that didn't make tha squad are Sam Gilbert and Daniel Cross and it is a complete joke to overlook those two. Stiffy played 15 games. As good as they were you wouldn' put him ahead of Delids, Enright or Rawlings. Truck deserves a spot in the squad of 40, but who really cares about the squad of 40. Pointless excercise.

For the record here's mine:

Frawley/Lake/Gilbert
Rawlings/Taylor/Goddard
Boyd/Swan/Montagna
Chapman/Franklin/Didak
Green/Riewoldt/Johnson
Sandilands/Hodge/Ablett
Judd/Cross/Selwood/Pendlebury

But you would (should?) have stiffy ahead of obrien and malceski...

Interestingly nobody from Port either.

I would have had Dale Thomas in, and would not have included Fletcher.
