absolute champ great vid.
I remember that game. We were on a role and he kicked that, and everyone thought we'd steamroll the cats.yeh how good is that check side against the cats, and that goal wehn he doesnt even have time to put it on his boot. BLOODY AWESOME
yeh we do miss him
I missed him the moment the siren sounded round 22 last year. For the final 5 rounds I was dreading that moment. Best bomber ever and even though I'm more then a little bias he is right at the top of my list for best footballer ever as well. He's just one of those complete players that no matter where the ball was or what the situation was you looked out for him and he would come up with the goods more often then not.
He just went after the ball like no other. I work with a one eyed Magpie supporter and before the ANZAC game this year I asked him what he thought would be the outcome. All he could say was thank god Hird wasn't playing. He was such a big occasion player. My fellow work mate also ranks him as the best he has ever seen and he hates the bombers.
I will always miss Hird but will cherish the legacy he left and way he played for our beloved club.
