I reckon this deserves its own thread.

Im 5 episodes in so far, loving it.

Highlights for me so far.

Loving what I am seeing from Adam Kingsley. So impressive.

The Cal Ward moment from behind the scenes was so emotional. The embraces with Cogs and Whitfield, the matter of fact knowledge it was career over was different to what I suspected. The scene in the sheds after was a sign on just how respected Cal was inside the club which we knew, but was great to watch.

The pure joy from Joey when he was debuting was terrific.

It is great insight, will bring a lot of support to the club mostly in a second team type arrangement I reckon.

The club is coming across really well IMO

Great access. Thanks to the club for putting themselves out there.
I have to be honest and say it left me feeling that our group is quite immature in certain respects. I’m not sure they have the character and maturity to go all of the way. I reckon other teams leadership groups seem like they take a more active role. Just how I feel.

having been involved with lots of footy teams (including successful ones) I reckon by comparison from that exposure they are ultra professional and committed.
Usually a lot of pulling into line and goofing at footy clubs, especially for players in their first 3 or 4 years as they work it out. (This could be happening behind and not on video)

Yeah I agree they are very professional and committed. I just felt like apart from Toby, they didn’t feel like a strong leadership group… I would argue this has been evident in big games in recent years.

Great documentary and currently on episode 4. I would hate to be a player who disappoints Kingsley - Kingsley is certainly very forthright in expressing his views!

I've been watching this over the past few nights and it's compelling viewing - absolutely brilliant access and it's fascinating to see what players and coaches are like behind the scenes.

Yes and no. It showed a couple of examples of the lads slacking off and mucking around a bit at training which irked Kingsley, but I don't think that would be unique to our club. At the end of the day, you've got a group of 40 young men, mostly in their 20's who are still maturing and finding their way in life. It highlights the importance of the leadership group in keeping the younger, inexperienced players on track. I was quite impressed with Tom Green and imagine he's being groomed as our next long-term captain.

Loving what I am seeing from Adam Kingsley . So impressive.
He's certainly not afraid to let players know what he thinks. The bake he gave them at half-time during the Swans game was enthralling, especially the way he went so hard at Toby, Josh and Coniglio. It gave me chills to see grown men (and club legends) being spoken to like that in front of their peers, but he knew it was needed and it got the response he wanted.

The best (and imo, the most impressive) part that has come to light was that the encouragement for it actually came from the leadership, Toby, I believe.

Kingsley revealed it yesterday in an interview on SEN but the encouragement for it by the squad leadership was never shown on the documentary.

Hey guys, really loving the behind the scenes look. I would really love my club to do something like this.

I'm up to the episode where the Giants came back against Sydney. The behind the scenes look gives a real human side to the players. I have found myself cheering for GWS to the point, I will go to a few of the GWS games here in Melbourne this year.

After North and Adelaide (Wife's team) GWS will be my 3rd club :thumbsu:

I guess this is exactly what they were hoping to achieve with the docco.
Welcome, we'll work on jumping a couple extra places in your faves list 😁

An interesting story related to "The Spray" from the documentary.

Adam Kingsley revealed in tonight's Members Connect that Toby asked him earlier in the week to give the team a rev-up spray, pre-game.

Apparently Leon Cameron would do that at times to pump everyone up. Kingsley said he didn't think that would be necessary. Why would the players need that as motivation to play well?

Sure enough at half time, Kingers looked over to Toby, Toby gave a little nod. Then the rest was caught by the cameras...
