LOL at the commentators "giving the benefit of the doubt" to the Lions defender for deliberate OOB when he handballed inboard and the ball was knocked back over the line by the Richmond forward.

is it just me, or have others thought there have been an increase in the number of really poor games this year over previous seasons?

Its not only the margins, there really has been some 'hard to watch' footy so far.
Not sure if its that we have a significant gap between the better and poorer side ( my hunch is this is the case ) or that the game as a spectacle for various reasons has slipped?
With over reacting, this could become an issue with crowds down and some softness in TV ratings.

I'm just glad Richmond got the win. Sloppy game, terrible at times - really bad but they put the Lions and won which is what the footy world expected. Interesting that Richmond haven't lost to Brisbane at the Gabba since 2004 which is extremely rare.........as in a non-victorian club losing home games against a particular club continuously. I reckon the Sydney-Collingwood matches at ANZ Stadium is another rarity that stands out as in Sydney don't have a good record against Collingwood at ANZ Stadium.

How is AK going Perthboy?

Andy is going well. Saw him about three weeks ago. I think he is due to play his first game next week for West Perth in the WAFL against Swan Districts.

Sorry everyone I got it wrong. Andrew is making his WAFL Seniors debut (since the 2010 WAFL Grand Final) today against South Fremantle. He had his first run for West Perth Reserves last week and got 26 possessions, 7 tackles, 5 inside 50s and 1 goal. So sounds like he is ready to go.

Also an article as well, see link below. The best part I reckon is where he thanks both Richmond and Collingwood :)

Cheers.

Yeah I will try and get to the ground where he is playing (its a 45 minute drive from where I live), if not then I will watch it on TV as the ABC televise one WAFL game per week and luckily its the West Perth vs South Fremantle game.

PerthBoy87 Thanks for the update, it's great to hear that Krak is back at it! I wish the guy nothing but the best and he absolutely great in the Black and White.

If there is only one thing in recent history that makes me sad to think of, it's Leon Davis*, Andy Krakouer and Chris Tarrant not being a part of a winning Grand Final side...

Yeah but that's part of footy and it happens. A lot of players don't win an AFL premiership - its just the way it goes. Leon Davis is classed as a premiership player even though he didn't play in the replay Grand Final, he was still given a Premiership Medallion.

Yep, you are right. But it still bothers me thinking about it (as a Collingwood supporter).

All absolute champions in my book though

I do see Davis as a part of the 2010 premiership side, I absolutely loathed the decision for him being dropped in the replay, absolutely filthy about it I was. Hence why I put the astrix next to his name.. My favourite Collingwood player over the past 10-15 years

I have learnt one thing from that game. Neither side can win the premiership, I thought it was an awful game and Fremantle should have lost by a lot more.

Since Freo smashed us they have been very average and we have been a better team than them overall in season 2014 and I would back us in to beat them if we played them next week here in Melbourne.

Hopefully the Saints can at least physically hurt Essendon tonight, even if they can't make it competitive.

West Coast vs Port is actually an important game, hard to get interested in it though unless it's close late.
