Well he is the most likely be best 22 player

Who would he get games ahead of in our midfield? He's certainly no forward.

As it stands, he would have been rotting in the twos if he stayed with us, and it would have hurt his career. Playing as best 22 with Melbourne is the best outcome for him, and being able to use him to secure Howe was the best outcome for the pies.

If he goes on to play 100 games with the Dees, be happy, because it means that our club provided him with a means to have a full career instead of rotting as a depth player.
