i agree i agree i agree

whats going on with those eagles lately. its no good.

and melbourne, of all teams.

its not lookin good for the rest of the season now!!!

if we can't beat melb @ home, pa will be harder

oh well.

the boys gotta find something extra and we can just hope that the draw goes our way! a lot of teams in the top eight are losing so we may still have a chance

Eagles can't cut it with the top sides in the competition on a regular basis now.

Until we can manage to do that, we don't deserve to be playing the finals. Even if we do scrape into the finals, with this horror run home, we will just be making up the numbers.

It's a hard fact to face, but we've got a long way to go before we can become one of the top 4 sides again, but it will happen eventually!! All we have to do is keep supporting them as hard as possible!

COME ON EAGLES!!!

Thanks Ozzult! Im feeling better now after listening to Alanis Morrisette for a while. All is not over yet I think we can still do it, As I said our best is good enough..trouble is getting our best! I think we can do it!
Even if we just do make up the numbers in the finals atleast it will give our younger players some experience when it comes to playing finals football. And it will give us a good springboard into next season!

I dont mind making the finals and getting ousted straight away. Because i've got to this point i felt really confident that we could get there. But once we got there, i wasn't expecting any more, thus a first round loss wouldn't have been as hard as coming this far then not getting there.

If that makes any sense.

im sorry. reading all that, i feel really bad...

you played well, i guess we just played better on the day. good game tho, and well done for not letting it slip. you kept up the WHOLE time. and you had a fantastic 1st quarter. at least there were SOME possetives in there...

once again, good game. :)

All this negative stuff is crap. We've actually over performed this year and have created a solid platform for next year. We've instilled passion and hardness this year - our ball skills will improve and we can look forward to winning a few in melbourne next year.

Woosha's done the most important thing which is he's given the players confidence in themselves and a passion to play for the jumper. A huge step by anyones measure.

2003 - we'll make a dent in the finals, 2004 its ours !!

yes i know we shouldn't be negative, but this is just post match anger and disapointment kicking in. By tomorrow, we would have settled down a notch, and we will start get positive again, and support the boys, try and get them to the finals, and look forward again to a big 2003.

I know were all angry at the loss today but i think we are being far too negative. For starters the season is not over. This loss at Subi is good in its own very bad way. It tells the boys that they MUST lift away from home. I think they got so comfortable with the winning at home that they thought they could just ride into the finals on the back of Subiaco Oval.

This loss hammers home the point that if we want to make the finals we must win away from home and we have 2 chances to do so. Dont play the kids like somebody suggested, play them if they have earned there spot through the WAFL but right now were fighting for finals football so lets take our best team to Brisbane and give it a real shake.

Even if we dont make the finals, sure ill be disappointed given the year we have had but at the beginning of the season i never thought we would be amongst it come seasons end. But here we are, Whoosha has turned us around and guys like Chambers, Lynch, Hunter, Green, Judd, Wooden, Cox have all stepped up. So expect bigger and better things next year.

But as of right now, all im thinking about is making the finals. If we do, great. If we dont then im sure as hell looking forward to next year. Brisbane better be ready because after todays loss everything is on the line!

CMON WEST COAST!

I wouldn't give up on finals action just yet.

After the game yesterday (even though I was disappointed with the loss in such an important match) I wasn't bitter with the boys like I was with the games against the Saints and Freo. The boys will take a lot out of yesterdays game and if the luck had of gone thier way they would have won. They have done a lot more than I expected of them this season. If they make the finals thats great, good on them, they deserved it but if they don't there won't be any loss of respect from me, I'm still proud of them.

Spot on.

It was a terrific game yesterday. The way the players have gone this year has been creditable. Let's hope we can keep improving.

Couldn't agree more.

Some of you should stop with all this negativity for a minute and remind yourselves what you expected from the team coming into round one this year. I for one have had my expectations blown out of the water. Sure, final's footy would be great, but let's just be thankful how far the team has come in what really is a short time. The signs for an even better 2003 are definitely there, and hey, we still have 3 games to go and you just never know what could happen!

I don't think there was much negativity, it was just supporters tend to get very dissapointed and p issed off when we lose games that we expect to win, like yesterday.

No question they've outperformed this year, but that can't stop us from feeling dissapointed from yesterdays loss, I reckon this one was worse than the Collingwood one.

Alanis! That would make things even worse!

I agree with all the comments - we've gone beyond our pre-season expectations and Sundays game was another learning step for the players. The loss did hurt, probably the worst all year since it counted for a possible finals spot and to keep our home ground record in tact. Bring on our next game against Melbourne in 2003!

It was a terrible loss to bear. I sat down afterwards and tried to work out if we can still make the finals and we can if we are lucky.

I know many of us are hurting from this loss but I still think this year has been good to the club. We were touted as favourites for the spoon and have proven many of the wise fools from the east wrong. Woosha has given us pride in our club again (from the players view) and we are working our way back as a force.

Think about last year......remember the sickening 100 + points losses we suffered? Remember how we laid down without a yelp? How the club was falling apart? We need to remember that.......

We can not expect success overnight. Success grows, it is not made and we are working our way towards being successful. Ok, we may just miss out on the finals, but after all we are still far from that rabble we were last year and the boys can hold their heads high.

I am a proud supporter of this club. I love to play finals this year but I am also realistic and know we wont go past the first week. 2003 will be a better year for us. The youngsters will be better, stronger and more mature in their football thinking.

The more I see WA's avatar where she says 92, 94, 04......I am sure this lady knows what is around the corner.

Thank you West Coast for a fantastic year, my congratulations to the coaching staff, the players, members and supporters for a terrific year.

I am now off to watch the round 5 game against the Lions......

Remember..we were the first to beat the Lions and stop their winning streak....lets not forget what acheivements the club has made this year and look forward to a better year next year.

Oh how i had tried to forget those games. But your right, looking back at that Carlton game...i just cant believe how far we have come. We havent been thrashed once this season, i think we have only lost by 50 points or more twice. That was Port in Adelaide and i think we went down by 50 or so to the Dogs.

Were a completely different side and make the finals or not, im pretty happy about where we are at!
