Norm Smith - Hannebery Robbed!!!

15 tackles from ROK and was immense with some vital clearances in the last quarter. Haneberry was tough, courageous and determined all day with some vital gives in close. Too hard to split them for me.

Well, I look at it this way..... ROK had 15 tackles - (That's 1/7th of tackles laid by the entire Swans team) and almost as many as his opponent (Mitchell) had possessions!! The bloke was sensational. Though my view was slightly swayed by my hip pocket - yippee!
I did actually think Sewell may have got it as consolation for the losers but I wouldn't have been surprised if Hannaberry got it either.

Put money on Hanners pregame (as well as the Swans, thankyou kindly) and felt a little bit robbed at the end.

Not that ROK didn't deserve it, just felt like the number four had done a little bit more.

Still up a fair bit so happy anyhow.

Would just like to make mention of the great game by LRT, he was one of a few that coulda snared Normie.

Let's not forget the great game by John Longmire .. can't win a Norm Smith but his
game was worthy of accolades.

Nice goin' Horse, Pebbles, KJ, Hanners, Joey, Goodes, Jude, Big Mike ... ahh stuff it, all of 'em. It takes a team.

Hair of the dog tastes good and the only way am getting by today.

You BLOODY BEAUTY !

Hannebery had an ordinary 1st quarter i thought he shirked a few 50/50's, but backed it up well. Very, ******* well after qtr time. Bit stiff, but RO'K was solid for 4 qtrs

Shirked it right into hale?

He shirkes nothing have another look, remember that mark !

Yes, i remember that mark!!

Well i was already watching the game through beer goggles and i thought Hanners could of went harder at a contest or 2 very early in the game, but even a couple of people around me said the same thing. I'll watch the replay what it was.

Hanners has still got plenty of time to win the NS.
I was chatting to Andrew Dunkley and he too called Hanners for the medal.

When - if - he DOES eventually win it , maybe everybody will lurn how too spel hiz name rite !

I had Hanners BOG but agree with Ed in that he took most of the first quarter to get going. I definitely remember thinking Hanners was a bit off mid way through the 1st. After that he was bloody outstanding though.

He had more big game moments than O'Keefe which is what split them imo. That mark, the goal in the last, more memorable little bits of play. Steal on the wing which led to O'Keefe marking on the wing with 90 secs left, handball to Malceski for his goal, etc. etc. etc.

Yup AG, i was just looking at the replay then to see what i was looking at when i thought he shirked a few challenges. I thought i'd clarify that the 2 contests were the centre bounce straight after Malceski's goal where he let Mitchell get away from him and the contest out on the wing with 11:05 on the clock where he didn't stick the tackle on a Hawks player.
