His namesake (and ex Cannons teamate) reportedly signed with Sunbury after a successful stint at Wangaratta.

There will be no self dicipline problems. I have hit three people there in ten years. The first in 2000 was where a bloke attacked me with a cricket bat which i threw and knocked him out with my fists. The second in 2001 was a ex coach who was sacked the next day and the recent offence........If someone stands in your face at four in the morning with a gut full of piss yelling words such as rat and dog i don't care who you are if your in range your going to cop one.
I think every one on here knows what north is about and its unfortunate that it ended the way it did. The facts are people on the commitee and about three players in the side that i never got along with now run the club . They did'nt want me there so its time to move on.
It just shows to most that the people making the decisions don't have the interests of the football club at heart. Its for there own personal agendas. And the rumour going around that there were players that did'nt want to play with me thats crap too. It was all sorted the next day. I think it shows that the coach resigned that week due to the way the commitee handled it proves that it was personal between myself and two related commitee members i'd name them but no one would know who they are as they are no ones!!!
Its really sad for the club that they have little help around the club and could not afford to lose them as there would be no one to take there place as it was pointed out to me by the president. Then im told these clowns get life memberships it seems its the only club in the world where its a good thing to do a terrible job of running a club financialy and receive praise for it. I might add a lot of people were having a joke about it presentation night.
I made a mistake of going back there i knew i was up against it but as i have family there and a lot of very close friends i chose to. North is a very good club people wise its just a shame that 5 or six people let the club down. Its pretty obvious as they have had 2 or 3 no ties to the club recruits in the last ten years that its clicky between these commitee members and don't like new people coming to the club espeically if you say your peice as Paul tilley found out over the last two seasons.
I don't even get on this site anymore but just wanted people to know the truth as everywhere i go people ask me and some of the rumours i hear make me laugh. At the end of the day i should not have thrown a punch and i regret it but seriously there is a fight at the club at every function and i throw one punch and chase a bloke and get banned its a bit of a laugh. Last year someone punched the ex president and got banned for a month in cricket season. I might add the bloke i punched actually hit some in the rooms the week before. So if thats the way it is there now there will not be a side left by round 7. Anyway i'm looking forward to a big year at Heidelberg next year and with the loses in Gay Haydock and a possibly a few others it will be a much competitive competition next year.
People will get on here and make other stories up, but thats coming from my mouth and thats the truth!

Hey shoestring sounds like you were the one he knocked out! or were you the one who ended up in the water??? I was there on sat and looks like the doggies have a few problems down the kennel and soul is not one of them. I saw him walk away about 3 or 4 times before the guy followed him off the bus and put his fists up to fight...soul obviously got the better of him!!! and he wasnt a team mate, think he was one of the guys on the commitee who kicked him out. Would have to say that the funniest thing i have seen for awhile was when soul turned the guy around gave him a kick in the back side and sent him rolling down the embankment and straight into the lillydale river!! PRICELESS!!! Soul would be welcome down at marby park any time!
