You have obviously been following us closely. Big Tarz had been very disappointing for us and would have been dropped last week had he not decided to pull the pin. We kicked our highest score of the season on saturday and looked a lot better with a young mobile forward line. Big Tarz is a great bloke and a excellent footballer but the truth is (as anyone who has played us would backup) he was not in the condition to play decent football this year. He let the group down with his attitude towards training and the condition he presented in. The facts are that we played Casey Mazzoletti at full forward on saturday who presented really well and could fill the spot during the season as could several other options. We have up to 8 senior players to return in the next month. We may or may not win a game over up till Hampton but I can assure you we will improve dramatically over the back end of the season and any results will have ZERO to do with the loss of Mogounhie. Considering John Perry, Ali Kiki, Ant Too Too, Thorp, Oshanessey, Agimatagi, Vitagliano etc were out saturday, I thought our young blokes aquitted themselves really well against a very good side in Murrembeena.
We believe despite our results, we are actually taking bigger steps forward than last year long term. We are not relying on a group of 27-30 year olds as we did last year. We are building a young close group that should be a really strong side in the next few years. We had 16 blokes under the age of 23 playing on saturday. That to me is a big positive and these are the players that will move the club forward long term.

Gray carried a niggling injury pre-season, eventually it got the better of him and he has had a few weeks off. He is back on the track now and working hard to get back into the senior line-up.

Has plenty of work to do, but was in reasonable form at Moorabbin considering they arent travelling well as a team. Not sure where he fits into the current structure but if he works hard there will be a place for him I'm sure.

I know NS are a merged club an all but the jumper is really horrible. Nearly as bad as East Keilor's (who ever thought it would be a good idea to model their jumper on the west coast spew looking jumper is kidding themselves.)

It was hard enough to convince the North Coburg guys to change the jumper and allow the Navy and White from Fawkner Park let alone worry too much about designs.
Ya know it was sounding like queer eye for the straight guy a few times with the Boppers um men, constantly saying "Oh Blue and Green ... Should Never be seen".

I guess the most improtant thing is that the people that oull the jumper on each week have pride in it. The feeling among most people at the club is that they like the jumper. Yes, it's a comprimise....but we have all had to comprimise during the merger.
What is important is what the jumper represents and what we are able to achieve while we wear it. We had a reasonably good first year on and off the field and the will only get better next year. As Mocca keeps stressing "We didn't play finals and thats all that matters"
Well done to Mark Tsitonakis on winning the inaugural club best and fairest (very worthy winner) with Charles Ferraro in 2nd and David Rees 3rd. A great night was had by all last nite at Firenze with a huge turnout to honour all the winners.

maybe you should think about another change of name to northern scum or moreland council bitches.
With strong juniors coming juniors through, a massive upgrade to our social rooms and gym about to happen, new sponsors coming on board and a great sense of pride about who we are and where we are going, we are heading in the right direction....Stick around long enough and we might just make you our "bitch", just let us know who you play for big man!!!!!
lets just hope through your "new sporting club" you don't get bleed dry by your new partners whose soul intention was to get mutton res at any cost. beware of them thats all i will say. after 19 yrs of sharing mutton res i wonder where the other occuptants of that ground are going to be put? seeing they were given no notice of the meetings being secertly held. but were still expected to paid bills for the ground. what a disgrace

After your club and supporter's behaviour at the U16 Prelim today you should hang your head in shame. And if your club does not get rid of the scum that behaved like that the league should send you all back to the NFL. To that low DOG that ran on to the ground after the game and hit someone with a mallet ......expect a call from the cops buddy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The EDFL Need to take a good look at that club and their supporters. The last two times Tulla have played them this year they have had players reported for striking and we have had kids go to hospital. RABBLE!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine what would happen if they lost a Granny. It's all on video so the cops will take good care of the video footage and the COWARD involved.

That's the thing mate, I have and I know how many of our players have been reported for striking.
Both our reported players were done for umpire abuse.
u boiis from tulla are right it was a dog act i was there today but the person that we think hit the poor kid with a mullet no1 noes him he was friends wit a kid older bro that was playing and believe me we dont want that shit happering at NS but unfortunely da dog that did it has and lets hope he is court and gets locked up that was disgusting
Believe me, the Northern Saints committee and club will be co-operating fully with the league and the poilce. Everybody at the club is disgusted with what has happened. Both teams need to have a look at themselves and the way they behaved. I'm sure it wasnt a one-way fight...The players and spectators from both sides disgraced themselves and their respective clubs.
To tar the entire club with the same brush, based on the behaviour of one weak coward is stupid and dangerous. It also undermines the hard work of so many people that work so hard at the club. The last time these two teams played the only report was for Abusive Language, so lets not throw around ridiculous accusations.
Nobody at our club is "proud" of anybody involved, they will no longer be involved at our club in any way, shape or form. Whoever they are...

No ridiculous accusations at all. You guys have very short memory's. Round 9 at Nth Coburg Saint's ground. Did one of your under 16 players get reported for striking?????? Oh you bettcha he did. The player who got sent off and reported at Roxy the next time we played them was trying to punch up his own team mates too as they were trying to tell him to shut his mouth and get off the ground. A scuffle broke out while he was sent off and he AGAIN tried to get onto the ground to throw a few more. The coach had to physically throw him off the ground before the umpire noticed he had ran on.
